Because you can overdo a good thing. He's a "fine" actor. But he's not great, by any measure. He's also perpetually cursed with "boy" face. Bond really can't be perceived as a... kid. It's just, no.

I will agree he has a very boyish face.

I think it works for some roles and doesn’t for others

Spidey? Works just fine

James Bond? I’ll agree, no. James Bond is more mature

I like him in Spiderman and Odyssey. But him and Mark Walberg kinda ruined Uncharted for me.

I think people are tired of seeing him everywhere, honestly. It happens. I don't feel strongly about him as an actor but he'd be a terrible choice for James Bond.

An actor doesn’t need to be sexy to be good, and I damn sure like BND.

Though that’s just my opinion, and I cannot enforce mine onto you 🤷🏼‍♂️
