I’d happily spend 2 weeks in jail for half that if I’m being honest. 101 u/CommonMaterialist 12d ago Yeah but it’s not just 2 weeks of lost labor, it’s however long she spent looking for a job after getting out as well (which was probably hindered until her time in jail was removed from her record, if it even was) 67 u/EFTucker 12d ago Not only that but the emotional toll of the experience AND missing her child’s birthday. 23 u/TheGayestNurse_1 12d ago And how much of that went to lawyer fees and such. 12 u/EFTucker 12d ago I’d hope part of the settlement was also to cover legal fees aside from the payout
