u/Low_Bake5149 17d ago

Yes. It helps fuel my updoots.

12

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

She did, but people called Sydney Sweeney a nazi for less.

u/davidhow94 17d ago

No one claimed that over her sexualizing herself are you okay?

8

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

No, it was even dumber. They claimed that over a denim commercial.

10

u/davidhow94 17d ago

The one where she talked about good genes, I wonder how they made the connection.

Sabrina Carpenter talks about good genes too in the very song she is performing in the above image. Is she also a nazi?

What lyrics?

6

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

The opening lyrics:

"Don't have to tell your hot ass a thing
Oh yeah, you just get it
Whole package, babe, I like the way you fit
God bless your dad's genetics, mm, uh"

Bear in mind, the context is that she wants the guy she's singing about to impregnate her. If talking about good genes is a nazi thing, then the implication is much stronger here than in a punny denim ad.

The answer is in the lyrics. She was talking about the guy having "good package" and assumed he got it from his "dad". There was no race implied tho. Could be black, could be asian, could be white 🤷‍♀️

There wasn't race implied in the American Eagle ads either. One focused on her breasts, one on her buttocks and one on her eyes to make an obvious blue jeans pun. Of course the culture war grifters laser focused on that one to start a race discourse dumpster fire.

Interestingly, most of the right wing responses I saw did not make it about race. They highlighted that she was conventionally attractive, slim and not wearing a hijab. I think the online left seriously overestimates the relevance of white supremacy in the American right. It really doesn't go much deeper than the baseline American flavour of white supremacy shared by both parties. They certainly aren't that concerned with racial purity, given how many of them are Jewish, black and Latino. Those who do care about the purity of the white race are fringe weirdos represented by the likes of Nick Fuentes who isn't even really a white person either.

Just a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman talking about her good genes. How could that be construed as white supremacist behavior? Guess we'll just have to wonder, huh?

4

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

Saying a hot person has good genes has been a well-established corny joke since long before any of us were born. It's even a lyric in the very song Sabrina Carpenter is performing in the discussed image.

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

I know, right? There was clearly no subtext at all in a time of open discrimination in the country. I’m so on your side bro. Good genes, not like some others.

4

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

So do you also think Sabrina Carpenter is a white supremacist?

1

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

Where did you get that from? Friendly fire. Look, the same people who think MAGA is white think the genes ad was a white supremacist dog whistle is all.

4

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

This isn't worth my time.

1

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

I wanted to crush brews with you.

4

u/BedGirl5444 17d ago

She didn’t come out with the slogan, she’s just the model

0

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

And I agree that she’s totally absolved of being what people call a fascist icon.

8

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 17d ago

So fucking stupid. She does have good genes. If it was a hot black chick you wouldn't have white people freaking out about some "black supremacy" bullshit cause everyone would go "yeah she's hot and has good genes."

It's funny that the only people who can hear these "dog whistles" are lefties. Really says something about who's racist and who's not.

-8

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

And we'll just have to wonder why it wasn't a hot black woman. I hate this for us.

9

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 17d ago

Cause there are a million ads out there with hot black women already and Sydney Sweeney is big right now?

Stop focusing on race so much

-3

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

Why are you yelling at me? I’m with you. I’ll never understand why that ad caught so much attention for being racist. Everyone should have just looked at her white boobs.

3

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 17d ago

Someone's got bad genes and it's showing lmfao

0

u/Burt_Rhinestone 17d ago

Brother, samesies-samesies. Why the hostility? Boobs, bro. Boobs. C'mon. Fug yeah! Smash some brews brother. We're the same. Subtext is for nerds anyway. Books n shit.

3

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 17d ago

Alright you got me, wanna go jerk off to interracial porn together?

No, they didnt

3

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

They very much did, but I envy your blissful ignorance.

-1

u/totashi777 17d ago

No, they called her a nazi for recording an ad filled with nazi dogwhistles

2

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

What company would put nazi dogwhistles in an ad? Ads are designed to appeal to the broadest possible demographic, not Nick Fuentes.

-2

u/totashi777 17d ago

The point of dog whistles is that the layman dosent notice them. If it was just "hey we are nazis" then it wouldnt be a dog whistle

4

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

Reading any sincere political message into an ad is a mistake, whether it's a "woke" message or a "nazi" message. All ads have the exact same agenda: to sell a product by appealing to the widest possible demographic.

-2

u/totashi777 17d ago

This is such an illiterate take

6

u/AntedeluvianEmpires 17d ago

You really can't call anyone else illiterate while falling for obviously manufactured outrage.
