Some of the women writing lengthy bits complaining about (perhaps a more neutral term would be "criticising") her are actually specifically mentioning that point that she markets her sexiness purely as an object for the male gaze.
It's nothing about her as a sexual being, with desires, drive, or satisfaction in the "sexiness" she is portraying.
But also, obviously people shit on her more because she's an annoying MAGA cunt. People shit on and complain about Carpenter too, but much less, since she's more culturally popular and actually has been critical of Trump administration.
>are actually specifically mentioning that point that she markets her sexiness purely as an object for the male gaze.
There's a host of women on their size that did exactly that.
They know sex sells. They've made it clear countless times that it's what they're going for.
From barely covering red carpet wear to sex scenes, sex tapes all the way down to progressive dolly parton "refranchising the bimbo"
Now suddenly there's a backlash in a weird turnaround of progressive and conservative standpoints and why...
>But also, obviously people shit on her more because she's an annoying MAGA cunt.
That's why.
She wouldn't have gotten this far without the tits but those aren't unique. I swear at this point her career is built more on making that jeans pun, saying nothing and getting thousands of mentions from that point onwards and riding the culture war with 0 effort.
I think people just don't like the Sydney advertisement for various reasons, but I don't get the sense that many people would claim it poses a problem. Problem means there is something to be solved. I don't think that's what most people mean. I think most people just don't like the gambling of the ad and/or don't like extremely sexualized advertisements on TV.
I think the ad is in poor taste and so I don't like it, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as a problem.
