Part of the deal is money. The other part is getting on the “excluded from data collection” list where the software ignores you. Need to get a job at flock to access the master list.

u/kangarooneroo Aug 30 '26
Lol look at the ceos, and other "important peoples" homes on google an such. Its always blurred out. Turns out privacy is only for the epstien class so they can hide your daughters. Us poors can't have that, the elites need to know when to bring the boots down on our necks, so they gotta know when were talking about fighting back.

24
u/finalremix Aug 30 '26
Because of Luigi, a buddy of mine got a handful of claims accepted by his insurance for a couple months. Pretty serious shit, too, so it was a major boon to his health.
12
u/Redd235711 Aug 30 '26
I've always felt that Luigi was doing a public service, but it never occurred to me that he very well may have saved more lives in the long run until now.

u/No-Station4446 Aug 30 '26
its the discrepancy in power that the collective is getting to know how it truly works. If i fuck up in my job, what are the consequences versus someone in power. its all fun and games until the smoke and mirrors become irrelevant.

Bruh, that's how primaries work. The DNC was putting their full might behind Clinton because she was the DNC's primary candidate and Bernie was the challenger.
It's not a conspiracy. It's literally how this shit works. Also, Trump literally won the Republican primary five days before Clinton won the Democratic primary, so I don't know where you're coming up with this horseshit:
The DNC stopped campaigning against trump and put their full might against Bernie
Have we forgotten that Trump was a long shot in that primary and that his victory was a surprise? And probably the only reason he won that primary was because there like two hundred fucking candidates? He didn't even break 50% of the popular vote.
I voted for Bernie twice, so I'm sure there's a ton of policies we agree on, but you gotta get your head out of your fucking ass.

14
u/EternalNewCarSmell Aug 30 '26
However, there is a case in NY right now that is likely to succeed in showing Flock (and similar cameras) are against the state constitution. A provision of it that is just the 4th amendment of the US Constitution, verbatim. Once it's fully concluded this case will open the floodgates for well-supported challenges to mass surveillance cameras.

u/MedonSirius Aug 30 '26
All of what they do right now to prevent something like the French Revolution. That's why Trump was elected. The tactic is working. Squid Game is no longer in a cave somewhere on an island. It's live on our TVs! And people have elected for the elites on top and the casualities will be us.

But those in "power" are meant to work for the people that voted them in. If they truly work for the people that voted them in, then this bill should be passed no problem. The issue we run into is everyone trying to hide other things under the guise of the bill title.

Im hardly a Bernie glazer but theres a timeline wher the DNC didn't screw him and none of the past decade of US politics happened.
131
u/Rare_Big_7633 Aug 30 '26
100%
Bernie would’ve also shutdown gain of function research to fund actual universal healthcar. So not only would Covid be prevented from existing, American healthcare system would be much healthier.
94
u/Krell356 Aug 30 '26
Let's be realistic here. Covid happens in that timeline too. The only difference is that likely less people die. However since a lot of those deaths and disease spreading were caused by individuals completely ignoring lockdown, they would have still happened.
→ More replies (1)53
u/SingleInfinity Aug 30 '26
A big part of people ignoring lockdown was those in power fucking up messaging and downplaying covid because it made them look incompetent.
15
u/turbosexophonicdlite Aug 30 '26
The Trump administration gave all the shit heads permission to be garbage publicly, instead of hiding it in polite society. There'd obviously still be some crybabies that pitched a fit over the lockdown, but definitely way fewer if we had a competent administration in power.
2
u/LordoftheJives Aug 31 '26
Agreed I think it says a lot that Neo Nazis came to more prominence during Trump's first term rather than either of Obama's terms. He made them feel comfortable and that was before COVID.
That said I don't think either side handled COVID well in all honesty. Trump said everything was fine while Fauci and Dems gave a lot of contradictory information about it like sunlight neutralizing it while also restricting outdoor activities. Don't get me started on curbside cocktails as if that didn't encourage drinking and driving or masks off being ok sitting in a restaurant as if that isn't the same concept as smoking and non smoking sections.
2
u/Krell356 Aug 31 '26
You know the funniest info ive found out about covid since the whole debacle was watching the doctors at my hospital scratch their heads at the contradictory results they were seeing in smoking patients. Turns out that nicotine use actually helped against covid but the lung damage from all the smoking made it worse.
They started noticing that patients who asked for nicotine patches but hadn't been smoking for a super long time or too heavily were doing significantly better than both the heavy smokers and the non-smokers, but only when nicotine patches were being administered.

The part that everyone always forgets is that eugenics is only bad when it's forced. There is absolutely nothing wrong with people making personal choices about who they do or don't sleep with.
Got a genetic disease that you are guaranteed to pass down to your children? Maybe adopt instead. The government telling you "no." Is bad, you coming to that decision yourself to not pass along your condition or possibly a worse version of it to your kids is admirable. Yet it is still eugenics, just not being forced or applied at large scale.
Sometimes just making sure people are well informed is enough to get people to make better decisions. That said the reason it has such a nasty reputation is not only due to history, but because it doesnt work at all when the dumbest of the dumb are the ones who are the most hellbent on procreation.

→ More replies (4)3

There is a popular (internet) theory that SARS-CoV-2 was accidentally released from a lab in Wuhan. While it is a worthwhile theory for science to investigate, the main reason why so many people believe it is MAGA propaganda that Fauci funded the research because he is a secret deep state communist.
2
u/AboynamedDOOMTRAIN Aug 30 '26
It's also the official stance of the white house. They've got a whole page on it. Which is how you can be absolutely certain it's completely made up.
8
u/aquaculturist13 Aug 30 '26
yes the gain of function research that funded grants, at most, in the tens of millions in the decade prior to COVID, would've definitely covered universal healthcare
→ More replies (3)4
u/nalaloveslumpy Aug 30 '26
Covid would absolutely still have happened. You can't "stop" a pandemic in the way that your thinking. But with the spread and the economic effects would have been much less.
But that's also true had literally anyone else in the world had been in charge during the pandemic than Trump.
7
u/jibbodahibbo Aug 30 '26
For real. But some people couldn’t let that happen I guess. Biggest political screw job in recent history. Maybe he didn’t want it that bad though.
2
8
u/nalaloveslumpy Aug 30 '26
What a reddit thing to say. I voted for Bernie twice but the DNC didn't "screw" him. In a primary, there's the party candidate (that was Clinton) and then there are the challengers (that was Bernie). The DNC absolutely puts all their money and efforts behind their party candidate and it's up to the challengers to overcome that massive advantage through grass roots campaigns.
Bernie lost the primary because leftists didn't bother to fucking show up. And some of them that did were too fucking dumb to understand they needed to be registered as Dem to vote in the Dem primary for their state because they never fucking voted before.
Something important to keep in mind about the 2016 primary was that Bernie lost the popular vote in CA, NY, & CT - three of the nations most left-leaning states. So that leaves us with two maxims: Either left leaning voters don't show the fuck up (which there is a mountain of historical evidence for) or left leaning voters are truly a minority of a minority in the Dem party.
Since we're seeing left leaning candidates win primaries, that leaves us with most likely answer is that they just don't show the fuck up.
So show the fuck up.

This is very true, I know many many Republicans that would totally support this bill, and I cant understand why any average person regardless of political affiliation would not support such a bill, however I think enough politicians on both sides will reject it, I can see some on both sides who want the mass surveillance for differing reasons, some will argue to counter terrorism/crime others just a general "safety", but I think they just want the power that eventually results from taking all privacy away, and then there will also be politicians on both sides that don't even look at any of that but will simply reject the bill because there is too much money to be made off this kind of surveillance
31
u/_TheBeerBaron_ Aug 30 '26
The reasoning is bribes.

u/694meok Aug 30 '26

5
u/Jaggz691 Aug 30 '26
There are representatives on both sides of the aisle trying to do this and it doesn’t matter which side you’re on. YOU should support this!!!!
The most prominent anti-Flock legislation introduced is the Protection Against Mass Surveillance Act (H.R. 9800), sponsored by Rep.
Tim Burchett (R-TN) and introduced on July 21, 2026.
This bill prohibits federal agencies from purchasing, deploying, operating, or accessing automated surveillance systems, including Flock Safety’s license plate readers and facial recognition technology. It also bars state and local governments from using federal funds for these systems and requires the deletion of any data collected in violation within 30 days.
Other notable legislative efforts include:
Surveillance Accountability Act: Introduced by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in April 2026, requiring warrants before using ALPRs to track citizens.
Federal Funding Withholding: Rep. Massie has announced plans to introduce a separate bill to strip federal funding from municipalities and police departments that deploy Flock cameras.
Warrant Requirements: Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) introduced legislation requiring federal authorities to obtain warrants before accessing Flock data.
Planned Bans: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) have both vowed to introduce bills for an outright ban on Flock cameras, though neither has been formally introduced as of late August 2026.

Let's wait to see the bill. I assume it will be shot down. Not because Republicans love big brother, but because like any other bill, it will be a suite of unrelated laws, some of which congress will not agree on. And when it gets voted down, MSNBC will run a story about how GOP lawmakers are pro flock. This is politics. Congress is broken.

3
u/Few_Move_4594 Aug 30 '26
The only way this is going to happen is if a Repub heavy hitter comes out in favor of the bill, but Donny T is going to veto anything that's anti-ai
3
u/Crovex250 Aug 30 '26
I think the correct path forward is to put this issue in front of each community in the form of a direct referendum, and that referendum should come up everytime the contract with Flock expires. That way, communities that by and large want to experiment and utilize these systems can, and communities that don't want them can flat out say no.
At least that is how it should be for use in the general public. Private property and business owners should be free to use or not use this technology as they want, as the anti shop-lifting applications of this system could save millions by greatly reducing retail theft. This also gives people choice as well, as you can simply shop elsewhere if you don't like a business using such systems.

Anti-government surveillance? Sounds like a common republican stance. Surely the GOP won't unanimously oppose this, right guys?

I love Bernie.
He never quits even though none of his bills like this ever pass.

I really love almost every thing that this man does and everything that he stands for.

He’s consistently been on the right side of history, I wish the DNC didn’t actively derail his 2016 presidential bid.

The amount of these fucking cameras that have popped up in my area over the past couple months is ridiculous. There's a shopping center near me that just in the past week have installed 22 flock cameras.
Not to mention a neighborhood that is phase 3 of building now. Its going to be 286 neighborhood. They have built maybe 2/3 so far and almost all of them have been sold. Just now they are installing the cameras in the neighborhood.

He should attach bonuses for any GOP that votes for it. They can't say no to money

Get out and vote and it might happen. But bless Bernie Sanders for standing up for what’s right. I’d literally follow that man to Hell and back cause I know he’d be leading.

Bernie is the one doing what the people actually want. But he will never win because he’s doing what everybody wants.

It's about time someone has the balls to introduce a bill that completely bans flock. Not suprised it took a Democrat to stop mass surveillance. Republicans love depriving us of our rights. VOTE BLUE! 💙👥

That's a great idea so you know they'll never pass it or Trump would veto it.
The government's not working for us. It's government by the Corporations, for the Corporations.

But I was looking forward to my LEO position to allow me to abuse access and stalk people.

u/MakePhreciaCore Aug 31 '26
I’m sure that if the house and senate members were the first line of people doxed regularly then this would pass unopposed.

u/Odinsdaddy53 Aug 31 '26
Trump has money in Axon, another mass surveillance system, so most police departments will just adopt Axon ,when flock is ousted.

It won’t pass bc our government is so twisted and corrupt. But Bernie is the only Senator there that gives a fuck

I feel like Bernie has gotten so good at politics from where he's positioned at. He's a legend to be fair. He knows that these bills wont pass, but also that it will put people on the record as opposing certain issues. The way congress is going to vote is obviously very against the voter base of all potential voters. These issues really give a black and white understanding of where politicians stand, and its a big deal that Sanders is using his position to out corporate Dems for what they are. He really is an amazing person even in his old age.

Gosh he was such a better candidate over Hilary. Hate that the dnc was so overconfident they railroaded him to the side. Then pushed Kamala down our throats. No one wanted her. And yet they still thought she’d have a chance.
