This is the whole Hero's Harem series in one book, about 81,000 words, on KU.

It's contemporary, no magic. Mike and Maxine are already married when it starts, and that marriage drives the whole series. Nobody joins the household unless Maxine says so.

What I like writing is the household: four women who compete, get jealous, make up, and close ranks the moment anyone outside threatens them. Over nine books that's a biker gang, a rival at Brooke's gallery show, and an aunt with a blackmail plan.

I’ve been reading more and more RFM and have been lurking around the community on and off for quite some time. I’m curious about something and hope you guys can help me!

How interested are you in contemporary RFM that is primarily about one man and one woman falling in love, rather than fantasy/adventure/harem?

What I am drawn to as both a reader and writer is strong attraction and explicit sex, male POV, but with a substantial relationship story. Once they're together, the conflict doesn't depend on a third-act breakup or manufactured misunderstanding. The relationship itself gets room to develop.

Is that something you actively look for? If so, what books already do it well? Or am I way off the mark?

And what would such a book need to deliver for you to consider it RFM rather than simply a conventional romance novel written from the man's POV?

Looking forward to your responses so I can finally stop wondering if it's just me!

What the title says. If you’ve played Mass Effect you already know what I mean. If you haven’t, I’m looking for a sci-fi, worlds colliding, star-crossed lovers kind of story.

No toxicity, harem BS or such. This takes priority over the setting or the sci-fi part, I’m willing to sacrifice that if the vibes are right. I just like the dynamic of overcoming cultures, space and biology for love.

Okay so....to give context.

I just read life and death by stephanie Meyer and I adored it to no end. However the ending did not satisfy me at all.

I did some digging and found out via another reddit thread that there was a fanfiction series by a guy named visser and was as well recommended to read another person's fan fiction for the last book in the series by the name of sweetcatcandy.

It was magical. It was so beautiful. I a grown man 30 years old was in tears reading it all. It was just so incredibly amazing, all the writers did such an incredible job. I was enthralled, i read them all in one week. But as all good things come to an end the series finished. I think sweetcatcandy is still writing, but im just not sure. Their rendition of breaking dawn had me in tears, just so incredibly beautiful. Like I cant stop thinking of it.

But this is where I turn to yall, I am desperate to find another long form series that will satisfy my need for a desperate love story. Any and all recommendations will be deeply appreciated!

If there's one storyline that's missing in RFM, or at least vastly under-covered, what would it be for you?

I tend to read slice-of-life stories as quickly as I can find them, as well as stories with non-traditional MMCs and FMCs. Stories with MCs with autism, trouble in social settings, non-traditionally beautiful or plus-sized bodies are some of my favorites.

What's missing in the genre for you?

Hi everyone, given how popular this genre is in RfW, I haven't (yet) seen many RfM with sports as the main focus. By focus I mean not just as a way to have a sporty tombyish girl as a love interest, I mean as a real plot point important to the story, with tournaments, matches and all that jazz. I love it in sports mangas when the sport ties the events of the story together, and I wondered if someone here has come across was something akin to that.

I have mostly been reading fantasy in the medieval era lately. I was hoping someone could give me some recommendations with audiobook but not necessary.

 I'm looking for nanotechnology, implants, AI companion etc. Mc can be a caption on a ship or cyberpunk-style book. Also, can I get slow burn on the romance? I don't really like when they hop into relationships 2 or 3 days after meeting. I like the chase, so maybe something along the lines of the mc tries to push others away.

Anyone got some recommendations

I know a very large number of grovel recommendations were posted not long ago, but the big list was pretty overwhelming, and most of the titles had grovel for a chapter or two at best, or were series in which the grovel showed up waaay ahead for me to maintain interest.

So I ask you all people of culture and far more experienced than me: what were the best media, grovel-wise, that you have seen?

Now, gonna be a bit blunt to start off, but I genuinely don't care about Harry Potter.

I liked the movies growing up but never became a die-hard fan, never read or plan to read the novels, I had Percy Jackson as my YA series of choice.

Don't mean to step on anybody's toes, just trying to make it clear why I'm not on the hunt down for fanfic over this.

BUT I do like the idea of Fem!Malfoy a lot: an upper class, practically nobility, girl who finds herself attracted to a lowborn peasant (I know Harry's actually rich, but I think it works best if the MC isn't) and becomes very tsundere-ish as she tries to grapple with her growing affections.

So, if anyone has recs for this (admittedly rather vague) kind of story or LIs, I'm all ears! Harem or mono, doesn't matter.

I would like some recommendations of incest focused romances. Preferably a relationship mom/son or brother/sister.

I like the real relationship, not something just sexual, but a romance with cuddly and fluffy moments. The taboo idea, the hidden relationship just turns me on

I love monster girl, and furry woman. This visceral and intense love just melt my heart.

I would like some books, story’s and games of romance between a man and a monster girl.

I like a lot of types of monster girls. My favorite one is werewolf, lycan in general, but not justa a girl with tail and wolf ears, I like a best remela that could easily eat me with just a bite.

Another type of monster girl I like, is the totally inhuman ones. Like lovecraftian goddess.

I’m wondering if anyone knows of someone is doing a fan fic retelling of HP with more of a focus on romance involving the changed character. I see a long of MM fan fics involving the two but that doesn’t interest me.
