Yeah socialism would be asking the kid to share with the disabled kid next door who couldn't go out trick or treating which is obviously an evil and horrible thing to do
More specifically it's asking every kid in the neighborhood to give the housebound kid one piece of candy so that by the end he has a bag full.
Capitalism is demanding the kids give you three quarters of their bag of candy because they live in your house. Ignoring how they have no other option.
More specifically it is not asking but taking from every kid in the neighborhood not one but as much as it is needed so that every kid housebound or just lazy will have as much as any other kid who visited every other house, designed costume and used his/her imagination. In fact, more he/she worked towards it, more they will take.
You're so close to being self-aware. You've constructed a false narrative predicated on children preferring to stay home on Halloween out of laziness as though they only care about the end result, which if you've ever been or known a kid, is easy to dismiss. You then compare that to working adults who, if you're not up to your eyeballs in propaganda, you know enjoy community and meaningful work. You espouse the value of people's work being rewarded, but you don't believe that capitalists should actually pay what they owe.
The issue people have with work isn't that it's hard, but that they're treated poorly, under paid, and under appreciated.
Nonsense example, even the USSR had different wages for different professions and that was trying to be some comical ideological experiment half the time rather than a functional system.
