PoliticalTea šŸ—³ļø Ain't that some shit

Maga genuinely, how does it feel to get fleeced by this admin? By their account they owe you $13,000 and counting. People have the audacity to talk about fraud when Trump is the biggest fraudulent president in history.

This is the fraud waste and abuse republicans campaign on but do exactly that!Ā

10

u/NetflixIsGr8 12h ago

On the bright side, it is no longer running. And it is a very clear thing democrats can point to as a waste of taxpayer money and the intent was not humanitarian at all.

Every accusation is a confessionĀ

The current administration is the swamp and spends like a drunken sailor.

16

u/Relative_Mix_216 13h ago

So much for fiscal responsibility

8

u/AmputeeHandModel 12h ago

That was always a lie. Every time they get power, they balloon the deficit.

3

u/LasVegas4590 12h ago

ā€œWe need fiscal responsibilityā€ is what Red Congress critters will be yelling once we have a Blue president. Happens every time.

2

u/Green_Sugar6675 8h ago

But they give the contracts to their allies, so the top levels of corruption love it.

26

u/NorminalAnomaly 13h ago

Republicans are all absolutely fucking worthless.

22

u/Dangerous-Half3276 13h ago

Wouldn’t be hilarious if all of the MAGA assholes in this administration ended up there after their criminal prosecutions?

5

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 13h ago

They definitely gotta go into some hole with no sunlight that's for sure

19

u/NexusNickel 13h ago

All part of the plan.

Tax dollars went into private bank accounts.

That's the Donald Regime 2.0 playbook.

15

u/TheManWith2Poobrains 13h ago

Didn't DeSantis end up getting stiffed for the bill?

There isn't are more fitting summary of Trump than that.

3

u/kingtacticool 13h ago

Yes, yes he did

1

u/yetikin42 9h ago

Actually, us FL residents got stuck with the bill, as it was tax payer funds from the Disaster Fund used for it... something something with no Vaseline, justa match and a little gasoline...

7

u/B_1_R_D 13h ago

Sorry but how expensive and specialized were those tents…..were they the gold standard similar to the $10k toilet seats the air force buys?

6

u/TianamenHomer 13h ago

Should have been 40 million on the very high end of the construction cost. Not advocating its existence just agreeing this should be investigated for grift and corruption. ā€œFollow the money.ā€

5

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 13h ago

Into their pockets, it's disgusting behavior

1

u/TianamenHomer 11h ago

Back when 60 Minutes was the bastion of Investigative Journalism, this would have been a three part episode. The Tiffany Network is crumpled cellophane now.

5

u/UnionCityNJUSA 13h ago

Yeah, never tell me we can’t afford a social program ever again after this bs.

3

u/CaptainBlotto 13h ago

Everything this guy does is a scam or turns to shit.

3

u/ElvinBishop 13h ago

Makes you wonder where the money came from in the firs place. It is also interesting to know where it went. I checked my account and I didn't get a nickel!

3

u/Top_Scene8254 13h ago

Even if it was 'necessary' that was still just over $3.4m A DAY to open and operate--what a waste of our money!

I'm sure it was all above board no kickbacks at all.

And, oh the blasphemy we spend on critical infrastructure, schools, and kids have food to eat to properly learn. Such stupid wasteful spending That place was--but we already knew that.

2

u/penguinsflyfree 13h ago

They didn’t pay for it, DeSatan used Florida money to build that dump, now Trump doesn’t want to pay them back, it’s like everything else ever built in Trump’s name, he’ll forget his wallet and you get stuck with the check.

2

u/Gooser3000 12h ago

Welp trump’s buddies got some fat contracts and cashed out.

2

u/Hed-Fone 9h ago

Show us you're laundering money without telling us you're laundering money.

2

u/Awkward-Ring6182 9h ago

Remember when the Trump admin robbed the freedom 250 fundraising accounts and then made a public showing about looking for acts and donations for it, all the while turning it into a Fyre 2.0 dumpster fire?

2

u/EconomySeason2416 4h ago

They also straight up lost a bunch of people... are they alive? Where are they?

2

u/Confident_Economy_85 4h ago

ā€œAs long a people I hate get the long dick of the law, I’ll eat that dickā€
MAGA

2

u/spaceaige 4h ago

What’s important is that his donors got the bids and looted the treasury.

2

u/Nowhoedup 4h ago

Real easy to spend other people’s money. The backs of hardworking Americans can only take so much . . .

2

u/Klutzy-Photo-3164 3h ago

Who got rich building that one?

1

u/Previous-Cup-6331 13h ago

Florida taxpayers covered the majority of the cost. The Trump administration promised some $600 million and has only handed over about $60 million, which is the most Trumpian thing you can do.

1

u/jreid0 13h ago

Actually it was Florida tax payers who paid most of the cost. Please correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t desantis say he’s waiting on reimbursement of millions of dollars from dhs?

1

u/Heavy_Track_9234 13h ago

Racism is expensive

1

u/poetspeak 13h ago

They took $1.2 billion of taxpayer money and spent $250,000 on this project and did what grifters do......keep the 99.9% of the rest.

1

u/Squidlips_69 13h ago

Someone made bank and it wasn't taxpayers

1

u/Legitimate_Doubt1375 13h ago

Half of it was paid for by FL taxpayers with the understanding the state would be reimbursed. Hasn’t happened yet.

2

u/madphroggy 13h ago

Never will. Guess who's famous for skipping out on his bills? Personally though I think it'll be a great place to lodge all the traitors from Washington while we wait for their trials for treason and corruption.

1

u/Buddhas_Warrior 13h ago

Grift, grift, grift

1

u/kingtacticool 13h ago

Incorrect. The Trump administration said they would reimburse Florida for doing the work and never did. That 1.2 is entirly on Florida taxpayers courtesy of Ron Desantis

1

u/NYCWartortle 13h ago

The only ones benefiting from MAGA are the Trumps and their rich friends. The rest of us get shafted. I’m paying $5 a gallon and I literally got 4 yogurts at the supermarket on sale for $9. On Sale!

1

u/chunkalunkk 13h ago

We have a tax and spending problem. Our purchased elected officials seem to not understand that. Time for a purge.

1

u/Huge-Ad461 13h ago

How's that Alcatraz project going?

1

u/Sea_Mind3678 13h ago

Well what were they supposed to do with that money? Help their constituents??!!

1

u/tlhsg 12h ago

Trump didn’t pay. again. shocker

1

u/Commandmanda 12h ago

No, DeSantis paid for it with taxpayer's money that was supposed to be for hurricane relief, and Trump never paid Florida back. So now Florida is out over a billion dollars.

It's a good thing we didn't get slapped with hurricanes this year...Yet. Maybe we'll get lucky.

But issookay. Please hate Trump anyway. ;)

1

u/mattiwha 12h ago

It's all a grift, 20 million for some pallets of ammonia to be dumped in ? Just more siphoning

1

u/Cautious_Nectarine_5 12h ago

An excellwnt return on investment would be him and his fellow criminals spending the rest of their days there.

1

u/Abject-Honeydew4112 11h ago

And whose pocket is all that money in?

1

u/salsa8859 11h ago

Wasnt it DeSantis and the trump administration actually never paid Florida back?

1

u/mobilecabinworks 10h ago

Where's the money?!?

1

u/totally-jag 10h ago

They say we don't have the money for expensive social and safety net programs. But they always find money for stupid stuff. And it always drives up the deficit.

1

u/SkeptiKUncle 9h ago

Nobody has a problem with deporting drug dealers and gang members. But trump chose to round up people working for a living trying to support their families. He is a liar and an idiot. (for the mods this is as polite and respectful as I can be.)

1

u/Celia-Smythe 9h ago

Did anyone bother looking into the 1000 people that went missing towards the end? There were so many rumours that people were dead in the everglades and eaten by crocs but then it all went silent and I've not seen anything else about those people disappearing

1

u/Even-Cartographer864 9h ago

They did it to get their friends paid. This was all a part of the plan. Use govt funds to get their buddies paid, they’ve done this before

1

u/jcapi1142 5h ago

Thats what the told you it costs. what they actually spent and what they stole from the coffers are a different story.

1

u/Available_Cow1197 4h ago

one day that facility will house all the dirtbag losers flashing a badge against the name of civil liberty

-5

Could you make it a data center?

2

u/NyxianGameStudios 13h ago

You’re a thief of oxygen.

-4

u/LayneLowe 13h ago

Hey the infrastructure is already there, plenty of water in the Everglades, It's out in the boonies so it doesn't bother anybody. It's kind of a joke anyway.

2

u/Working-Holiday420 12h ago

You need a ton of power to run a data center, in order to utilize that power you need a ton of infrastructure to carry the power.

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 13h ago

1.2 Billion down the drain for what? The facility itself had so many maintenance issues and failures so the money definitely didn't go into that. Ignore that it was a glorified torture camp. Just admit that's fraudulent.

2

u/Vadarpoop 13h ago

Always blaming the dems. Don’t republicans control every branch of the government?

2

u/MNGopherfan 13h ago

Bruh it’s a concentration camp in the middle of a swamp even if you were right which you aren’t think to yourself why this is even remotely okay?

-2

u/Emergency-Lemon2825 12h ago

Have you been to a concentration camp? I have. Auschwitz. Real talk. You have no idea what a concentration camp is. If you are an illegal in Mexico or pretty much any other country other than England and France. You sit in prison until you are deported. Why should we be different.

2

u/MNGopherfan 12h ago edited 12h ago

Country literally built by immigrants.

Also alligator Alcatraz is a concentration camp. Auschwitz was a Death Camp, Forced Labor Camp, and a concentration camp.

Concentration camp is a type of prison, often consisting of a number of buildings inside a fence, where political prisoners, or specific groups are kept in extremely bad conditions.

I feel like you ought to know the difference since Auschwitz was three camps that operated simultaneously. Auschwitz, Birkenau, and Monowitz all of which operated differently with different purposes or did you not listen on your tour and assumed that just because you have been there that it makes you opinion on the topic more valid?

The country was built by immigrants and deportation takes many forms in many different countries. The United States is supposed to be the shinning city on the hill not your misbegotten idea of an ethno state.

-2

u/Emergency-Lemon2825 11h ago

You mean the Indians built the cities and train tracks and society? The same Indians that killed , raped and stole from other tribes?

Yes alligator Alcatraz was actually better than most state prisons. But as they send Chomos to lows. You probably didn’t see any mediums or high.

2

u/MNGopherfan 11h ago

You are incredibly racist.

-1

u/Emergency-Lemon2825 11h ago

What’s racist? Do you not know your American history? I do. Oh by the way the Indians took it from the hunter gathers (paleo Indian)30000 years ago. Then came the Hopewell people missippian people. There were people here before the Indians. Hate to tell you that. And the Indians were incredibly violent toward each other.

2

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 11h ago

Calling them Indians is all we need to know about your character and to know not to waste time communicating with you. Go educate yourself, then come back and talk to us like an adult

-1

u/Emergency-Lemon2825 10h ago

They are Indians. They called themselves Indians up until 2008
They had the famous Indian peace commission

Just so we’re clear: this is everyone else’s fault, not trump’s, is that correct?

1

u/Accomplished_Hat9619 12h ago

Bullshit pussy. It was a dumb idea from the beginning and like most of trumps projects it was corrupt and doomed to fail.

0

u/Difficult-Bad-2456 13h ago

This is just disinformation from a dipshit. It was always suppose to be temporary.

The Florida Everglades immigration detention center known as "Alligator Alcatraz" has served its purpose, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday, closing the makeshift facility heralded by the Trump administration and denounced as inhumane by civil rights groups.
DeSantis said the center, which opened in July 2025, was always meant to be only temporary until more permanent detention centers could be secured and federal officials now have that capacity.
"We stepped up because there was a gap, but my hope is that they'll be able to handle that," the Republican governor said at a news conference at the facility.
Officials announced a temporary closure of the facility earlier in June and sent all of the detainees to other facilities, saying hurricane season made it unsafe to keep them in the Everglades.

1

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 11h ago

So why put 1.8 billion dollars into a temporary facility to begin with? Seems ripe for waste fraud and abuse

1

u/Difficult-Bad-2456 10h ago

Culture war narratives. It was planned to be obsolete.

1

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 10h ago

Lmaooo culture war narratives, and it's 🧊 round up and killing our neighbors. Putting them in an inhumane "temporary" facility worth 1.2 Billion dollars. Fuck off with that bs

0

u/Dependent_Amount6825 13h ago

The weak complaining was enough to shut down a $1.2 billion government facility?
