This couple has no idea where kids come from.

My wife is currently going back to school. We have one child. If we had 2 or 3 she wouldn’t be going back to school.

How many kids you have is a choice. It’s called family planning. Smart people do it.

That's what I'm just not understanding with people defending the wifes statement to their kid.

She didn't stop her life because of him, at least according to the story we got, she stopped her life because they continued to have kids. School doesn't feed the kids so you need an active income. Ultimately if you can only "hint" to your husband that he fucked up your life but flat out tell your kid that while he's sitting right there, you have bigger relationship issues and you probably shouldn't have had additional kids along the way.

Especially considering women play a larger role in family planning than men do. Men can wear condoms, or get a vasectomy, that's about it. Women have numerous types of birth control, abortion (which was a thing nationwide until a few years ago), and adoption.

Adoption is not solely for the women, it is a joint decision. And birth control fails and not every woman wants an abortion.
