Former U.S. President Barack Obama frequently speaks on the value of women in political leadership, most recently reviving these thoughts in a September 21, 2026 talk at Salem State University.

During his discussion with presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, Obama stated that he often fantasized during his presidency about putting women in charge of every government for two years. He expressed a strong belief that while things wouldn't be perfect, "they'd be better".

Similarly Obama took a widely publicized stance at a private leadership event in Singapore in December 2019. He argued that women are "indisputably better" leaders than men and that increased female leadership would yield significant improvements in global living standards, child care and also in general outcomes.

A social media nod from singer Nancy Sinatra expressed her agreement with his perspective.

Hate, bigotry, corruption, immorality, hypocrisy, stupidity and any other shitty trait does not have gender. The following people are women: Lauren Bobert, Caroline Levitt ,Pam Bondi ,Susan Collins ,Laura Loomer etc etc....

Will things be better under a government of those women?

While you're not wrong, people are people and all traits span the genders, so far, the majority of our government has been run by men. And how are things?? Maybe it's time to try something else.

Maybe we should look at their ideas instead of their genitals. Also, who is funding them. That one is pretty important.

Terrible track record in the UK. Margaret Thatcher is still hated, Lizz Truss is our worst ever PM and Theresa May was just as corrupt as all the other Tory PMs we have been shackled to thanks to English voters.

Historically, women have just as much a nack to be poor leaders. Yes, most of the goverment is men, but over 50% of the country are women helping to put them there with their votes.

Saying that things are bad and attributing that to men ignores all the good things men have done in office.

Funny how the claim includes better education. Maybe if we were better educated, we would be more familiar with the not so great women leaders. Then we can look past this nonsense and see how the system produces such leaders regardless of what they are packing.

I get all the education I need from Reddit! Are any of these so called woman leaders that start wars on Reddit? s/
