FeministTea👩🏻‍🎓👩🏿‍⚖️👠🥾 Core Sentiments

Former U.S. President Barack Obama frequently speaks on the value of women in political leadership, most recently reviving these thoughts in a September 21, 2026 talk at Salem State University.

During his discussion with presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, Obama stated that he often fantasized during his presidency about putting women in charge of every government for two years. He expressed a strong belief that while things wouldn't be perfect, "they'd be better".

Similarly Obama took a widely publicized stance at a private leadership event in Singapore in December 2019. He argued that women are "indisputably better" leaders than men and that increased female leadership would yield significant improvements in global living standards, child care and also in general outcomes.

A social media nod from singer Nancy Sinatra expressed her agreement with his perspective.

Why these men are afraid of women I'll never understand

We are afraid that their hormones might act up and they do something they are not responsible for

Like Donald Trump?

The difference is Trump is held accountable for his decisions. Women are not.

Is "Trump is held accountable for his decisions" here in the room with us?

Know anyone that dislikes Trump's decisions but blames his hormones instead of him?

How does that equal accountability?

Accountability means that Trump is responsible for his actions. No one else is to blame.

That’s not how accountability works, but you do you man.

Accountability isn't people being responsible for their own actions?

Last I checked trump was able to run for president, slowing down every single investigation he was involved in. And eventually got away with felonies and is now the president of the once most powerful nation on earth.

Sure. And what I'm saying is that if a woman acted like him, millions of people would not hold him accountable. They would just say he is suffering from hormonal imbalance

So there are no women in prison? No women who are fined?

Sometimes they are and sometimes they are given a million dollars and not considered responsible for killing three people

Because of mental illness. Mental have also been found innocent when they kill someone while off their meds or not correctly being treated. It happens all the time.

Ok what if the female president has a baby should they resign due to hormonal changes might induce mental illness?

Quiet, piggy.

Resorting to personal attacks is exactly the kind of emotional behavior I am talking about.

As if men don't have hormones? Have you ever been around a woman?

1

u/Null_Fungus 3d ago

Has a man ever killed multiple people and not been held responsible due to hormones?

1

u/m1stwalk3r 3d ago

Don't think I've ever seen the hormone defense let alone it being used successfully. I can assure you, throughout the entirety of human history, plenty of murderers got away with their crimes.

1

u/Null_Fungus 3d ago

11/12 jurors think that hormones mean you are not responsible for murder. If that's true it would hard to trust a woman president

1

u/m1stwalk3r 3d ago

Wow so according to you, 11 ppl and 1 woman is representative of the entirety of all 8 billion or so humans on the planet. Correct?

1

u/Null_Fungus 3d ago

If someone raises 1 million i'm going to assume a significant portion of society supports them.

1

u/m1stwalk3r 3d ago

1 million is not a lot of money. Get your head out of culture war bullshit pls.

1

u/Null_Fungus 3d ago

So you don't think a significant portion of society believes Lindsey Clancy is not responsible for murder?
