I think the problem is they don't need to do that and therefore never realize they're dumb

Plastics and rubber are all made from fossil fuel. It will drive up every aspect of motorized transportation. Also a good portion of the generators in my area are powered with natural gas. These idiots have a terminal illness that will take us all with them.

u/fuckexoticroots 19d ago
I'm well aware of that. At this point all any of us can do is try to insulate ourselves as much as possible. Drop the ICE car. Bike more. Those are the options we've got.

It's a part of who they are as a person. So know they will rather watch it burn than to behave like decent human beings.

Plot twist: she’s actually planning on voting Democrat. She’s just predicting how bad it’s going to get by Election Day.

u/Disastrous-Mess-7236 19d ago
Hmm. Trump’s been elected twice. Is it 999 pedos left or is it 998?
1
u/Just_Cartographer258 19d ago
The GOP is going to continue to protect pedophiles so it really doesn't matter..

Left vs Right is so tribalistic.
If you want the wars to stop, we must be united against those who sell themselves to corporations and foreign governments, particularly one in the middle east.

the smartest thing the political class ever did was to get “normal” people to incorporate their party into their identity. once you sink that hook in you can do pretty much anything and those people will continue to vote for your party because doing anything else feels like a personal attack.

We need to oblige MAGA.
Oh, you don’t want vital services?
Cool. You couldn’t afford it anyway and you only had it because blue districts were paying for it.
Place a Stupid Tax on them. If they go without, oh well. It’s a sacrifice I’ll gladly make for the future of humanity.

Can you explain how is trump going to use the military to intervene in the bond market?
I've never seen maga answer that question.
Let me know if you need me to tell you what the bond market is.

Billionaires do pay taxes. You can take the exact same deductions they do if you hold your wealth that way.
13
u/Historical-Finish564 19d ago
Nah. Not even close. There’s a reason big corporations and the rich support Republicans who write tax breaks into the code. But you are right that we could write off our private jets just like they do.
-11
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
If you own a business where you need to fly private then yes, you could.

u/FrostyMudPuppy 19d ago
Need doesn't equal capability.
-4
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
If it has an impact on your business, it is a business expense. You can do the same thing with your business expenses.
2
u/FrostyMudPuppy 19d ago
If your business can afford it. Needing to charter a private plane doesn't magically make the money required to do so appear out of thin air. It's like buying stock. For a business that only brings in a few million a year, buying stock is a foolish endeavor.
0
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
Uh, buying stock is not a foolish endeavor, you should be investing no matter your income level.
There are other business expenses, and you can write them off. One of theirs is a business jet. Just because your business doesn’t need one doesn’t mean theirs doesn’t.
2
u/FrostyMudPuppy 19d ago
Advocating for spending money a business can't afford to spend is definitely a choice.
1
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
What are you talking about?
1
u/FrostyMudPuppy 19d ago
You said people should invest in stock regardless of their income level. That's plainly false. Businesses should not invest in stock if they don't have the cash on hand to do so. Neither should people in general. Extra cash, especially for the average person or businesses that only bring in a few million a year, should be held in reserve in case an emergency expense arises.

Keep bootlicking billionaires magat. If you work really really hard this year, then next year I can buy another new boat.

u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
Every solution to “tax billionaires” just precipitates capital flight and higher taxes on the middle class.
But I’m fine because my political views are based on policy outcomes, not envy.

u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
Telling that you think anyone who doesn’t share your economic quackery is MAGA.
2
u/stickmuck 19d ago
So when trump said he's considering using the military to intervene in the bond market... what did he mean?
0
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
Are you illiterate or something?
2
u/stickmuck 19d ago
No, I don't live in the US. They still teach us to read here.
So you're not a trump supporter and you also can't help me figure out what he meant when he said that?
1
u/LifeConsideration981 19d ago
I have no idea what you’re referring to, and why should you expect me to know what he meant by it?
2
u/stickmuck 19d ago
If my priority was policy outcome I would be troubled if the leader of my country said:
"The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will."
in response to types of interventions that could be used to decrease bond yields.
The man is economically illiterate.
