It baffles me when people compare new stars to old ones another philanthropy and advocacy.

In the time theyre doing, where they sat, would be far mkre progressive than today. Simply due to how conservative a lot of society was ran.

I mean, that’s kind of the point isn’t it? Marilyn Monroe using her fame to help elevate Ella Fitzgerald, for instances was scandalous, unheard of, and dangerous. But even then, it was still more dangerous to be Ella Fitzgerald (which I believe was something MM said). So for Sydney Sweeney to do something comparable, she would have to do something similar for trans people…or another marginalized and demonized group. Hell, she could do it for a black artist and it would be nice.

Yes what i mean.

And Sydney Sweeney (unless im mistaken) is as conservative as they come. So im doubtful shell ever be in a lane of Marilyn's.

Not to mention Marilyn was outspoken about having creative controls over her choices and acting. She was one of a kind and didnt deserve that disgusting death she was dealt.

I think I sometimes go looking for a fight where it’s not needed.

No you're fine. English horribly doesnt have much accented words. So its up to a lot of nuance in the writing on the internet. 😭
