Reputable car dealerships
Currently in the market looking for a used SUV. I have a small budget as I’m currently a university student. Just got out a really shady deal with another dealership prior and now I’m very hesitant to go to random highly rated dealers. Any information is helpful, thanks.

Auto Trader website first. Nearby mechanic next to do a quick inspection. This should cover of any horrible luck.

I've bought a ton of cars in the last 10 years, like over 25. The best 2 dealerships i dealt with are Whitby Subaru and Ontario Motor Sales GMC. Both of them have good selection of used vehicles as well. Stay away from Hyundai dealerships if you're looking for a good experience, they're all high pressure and sleezy

Try a used crossover or sedan! Finance no more than 4 years too. Interest rates for used cars will be high unfortunately

Ive been buying and selling cars for a while now (mainly private sale). I just moved to Oshawa, if you need another opinion on a car that you're interested in let me know I would gladly come help you out! (If you're in Oshawa too lol).
But I would stay away from any dealerships that aren't on Google or don't have alot of reviews. Also, keep in mind that 90% of these cars at the dealership come from the auction the other 10 are trade ins.
And always get a pre purchase inspection, it's well worth the money and gives you peace of mind.
Goodluck!

Reputable car dealership is bit of an oxymoron.
