Discussion Once Human Raidzone - Casual
Since your in game suggestion is very limited, I would like to raise it here.
I feel that the gameplay on the Casual Server is currently unbalanced, especially when it comes to raiding and the use of Stasis Mode.
- The first issue is the limited 4-hour raiding window, which is already a very short period for players to participate in raids. However, during that limited time, many players still have their bases in Stasis Mode, making it difficult to find bases that can actually be raided. How are players supposed to experience and participate in raiding if most bases are protected by Stasis during the only available raiding period?
I understand that the Casual Server is designed to be more friendly and beginner-friendly. I think this is actually a smart idea because it gives new players an opportunity to learn how raiding and PvP work without being immediately overwhelmed. However, I feel that some of the current rules are too restrictive and make the server less enjoyable for players who actually want to experience PvP and raiding.
For example, many players have collected and prepared a large number of bombs and raid-related resources, but we cannot properly use them because so many bases are placed in Stasis. This makes the resources feel almost pointless and removes one of the main reasons players prepare for raiding.
I believe the Casual Server would be much better if the Stasis rules were shortened and made stricter. For example, there could be a limited amount of time players are allowed to keep their bases in Stasis, or restrictions on using Stasis during the designated raid period.
The Casual Server is a great concept for teaching new players how PvP and raiding work, but there needs to be a better balance between protecting new players and allowing players to actually experience the game's raiding mechanics.
I hope the developers can reconsider the current Stasis system and the limited raid window. Making these rules more balanced would make the Casual Server much more engaging without turning it into an overly aggressive PvP server.
2. Red Car Being Taken and Locked Away From Day 1
Another issue is the Red Car. Nowadays, the Red Car has become almost useless because some players take it on the very first day of the server and then keep it inside their base until the server ends.
This effectively allows certain players to gatekeep the Red Car, preventing everyone else from having a chance to use it. It also makes the Red Car fragments that players collect and keep in their bases feel less meaningful because the actual vehicle is rarely available for other players to access.
I also understand that the Red Car can be easily stolen from an enemy's base on a normal server. However, this is exactly why the current Casual Server rules make the situation different. Because the server is designed to be more protected and Stasis Mode is so easily accessible, players can simply secure the Red Car and keep it protected for an extended period of time.
This removes an important part of the gameplay. On a normal server, players have to take risks and defend their Red Car because other players can potentially steal it. On the Casual Server, however, the combination of easy Stasis protection and limited raiding opportunities makes it possible for players to effectively remove the Red Car from circulation.
I think there should be stricter rules regarding how long a player can keep the Red Car. For example, if the Red Car is not actively being used for one hour, it could automatically despawn and return to its original location or become available again.
This would prevent players from simply taking the Red Car and locking it inside their base for the entire season. It would also give other players a fair opportunity to use it and make the Red Car and its related fragments more meaningful.
The goal should not be to prevent players from using the Red Car, but rather to prevent one player or group from monopolizing it for the entire server. A time-based despawn system would make the Red Car more accessible while still allowing players to enjoy the competitive aspect of obtaining and protecting it.
****** This is the main reason why I feel that the Casual Raidzone Server is overrated in its current state.
If you play on a Casual Raidzone server until the end of the season, you can see a large number of bases that are practically untouchable because of how easily players can maintain Stasis Mode. This defeats one of the main purposes of having a server called "Raidzone."
I understand that Casual Raidzone is supposed to be more beginner-friendly and provide a safer environment for players to learn PvP and raiding. However, if players can easily keep their bases protected through Stasis for most of the season, there is very little opportunity for players to actually practice raiding.
I think the biggest change should be to make the materials required for Stasis much more difficult to obtain. Instead of allowing players to maintain Stasis using common materials such as ingots, wood, or other easily farmable resources, the materials required for Stasis could come from Rosetta Plane Drops or other contested events.
This would create a much more interesting system because players would have to actively participate in events and contest each other for the resources needed to maintain their Stasis.
It would also create a better balance:
- Players can still use Stasis to protect their bases.
- Stasis would no longer be something that can be maintained effortlessly.
- Players would have to leave their bases and participate in contested events.
- PvP encounters would become more meaningful.
- Players would have more opportunities to practice raiding and defending.
- The server would feel more competitive without becoming as aggressive as a normal PvP server.
Most importantly, it would actually make the name "Raidzone" feel meaningful. If players are required to fight for the resources that allow them to protect their bases, then raiding, PvP, and contested events become interconnected parts of the same gameplay loop.
Right now, the problem is that players can stay protected for too long without having to participate in the competitive aspects of the server. By making Stasis resources obtainable primarily through contested Rosetta Plane Drops or similar events, players would have a reason to participate throughout the entire season instead of simply staying inside their protected bases.
I believe Casual Raidzone should not completely remove the risk of PvP and raiding. It should instead reduce the punishment while still encouraging players to participate in PvP activities. That would make it a much better environment for new players to learn the game's mechanics while still keeping the server active and competitive.
