I hope that my fully punctuated words are enough to prove that I don't really speak your language (pun intended). I come in peace! It may well be counterintuitive for a parent to post under the 'ask' flair, but I am giving this a try to find out what it's like being on the receiving end.
So, as students who are in the trenches right now, what is the best thing I can say or do for him today? Do you guys just want to be left alone? Should I just silently slide snacks under his bedroom door and back off? What actually helps when you know you are walking into a paper underprepared?

I wanted to write this cuz not only am I stuck I am also in a very volatile state. This year CAIE May June results were devastating in many aspects. I got my results and boom. 8 subjects, 7As and all were 95% or above but my language Bengali subject dropped to an A. My dream of having all As got crushed. Then came the feelings of comparisons with peers whilst seniors motivated me with the line "you did excellent now focus on A levels" although they are motivating me the feeling of working hard just faded. During my prep sessions I was serious, during my grind sessions I was serious and every step of the way I was never the perfect student cause I always missed 1 mark or 1 grade in mocks or tests. But I still had hope cause I told myself this is a game to gauge my mistakes the real session will be my O levels. Now nothing.... Nothing can change what happened to my results. I can't feel proud. Hell I can't even sleep at night. It's not ranting rather I ask for advice because of my results. Will these 7A*s in all my science and other subjects help me achieve my dream of going to a Top 20 University? Will my O levels results ever cause my downfall somewhere in the future? What is the point of even working hard if I can't meet what I always dreamed of.

So, I was studying with Sir Zain, but the only thing bothering me is that his course duration is 3 months. How can one complete everything in just 3 months? Also, I feel like if I study from Sir Zain, I won’t be able to solve past papers, especially the topicals in Read & Write. Some questions in there are really difficult, and I feel like he doesn’t teach those types of questions.
So, should I shift to Sir Saad? Does Sir Saad do more past-paper practice and cover difficult questions, not just the easy ones? After his lectures, will I be able to solve the past-paper questions in the topicals?

Long post!
There's TL;DR at the end.
I’m honestly so done with my school at this point and I genuinely need some advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
The school has been introducing these absurd policies one after another, basically making it harder and harder for students to take a day off. First, there was the mandatory test day on the day when students would usually collectively take an off. Then, for students who take an off on other days, certain subject teachers have started making attendance a whole issue. If you’re absent for a certain number of consecutive classes, your parents get called and then there’s this whole long, unnecessary procedure that follows.
And honestly, the bigger issue for me is how completely draining school is. We spend around 6 hours there, then at least 1.5 hours travelling, plus another hour getting ready, so that’s basically 8+ hours of my day gone. By the time I come home, I’m mentally and physically exhausted. I genuinely don’t have the energy to sit down and properly study anymore.
At best, I’ll do whatever homework is urgent, and after that I just end up on my phone. I’m already struggling with managing my screen time, so when I’m exhausted and have zero motivation left, it becomes even worse. And then obviously I feel guilty because I know I have my own studies to keep up with.
I’m considering going private because at least I’d have more control over my time and wouldn’t be spending such a huge chunk of my day just attending school. But at the same time, I know the private system has its own problems. I’ve seen people around me switch to private because they felt like they were finally getting a break from all this, only to end up with terrible teachers and another set of problems. So I’m really conflicted.
I do have some genuinely good teachers at my current school, which is another reason I’m hesitant to leave. The problem is more the overall system and these increasingly strict policies, rather than every individual teacher.
In the end, after all this venting, I've realised that I am hesitant in opting private, which is fair, the major issue is of my management skills, ig.
So I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually gone through this whole school drained situation or something similar, on how to manage stuff.
TL;DR: School is draining me out, leaving barely any energy for self-study. I’ve considered going private but I’m hesitant, so I’d appreciate advice on managing school + self-study without burning out.

Hi everyone i just wanted an opinion over a project I’m working on ( it’s finished ) but i still wanna know if people would actually find it helpful.
I am aware that there are many past-paper websites and resources available but when i was preparing for my As levels exams i faced a-lot of problems.
1: printing cost of yearlies
2: a thousand different tabs to find the right variant and the right marking scheme and the threshold.
3: very less options for customised yearly booklets.
I built this website for my own use where you can just select variants for any subject any international board and if you want oct/nov feb/march may/june. It takes your command and creates a customised booklet tailored to your needs but the best part is that the TOTAL threshold for all your papers gets attached to the end page automatically and it basically gets rid of all the blank pages and useless pages in the papers compressing 33-35% making it cost significantly less by joining the 2 mark-scheme pages up and down in one page attached completely after each paper. I’m attaching pictures you all can give me your opinion for things where it can be improved or if it can be beneficial for students. Thank you so much for giving out your precious time to read this. I hope every one of you gets the results they wish for .

Has anyone from the Batch of 2029 given an interview at any college, such as Cedar, Nixor, Heuser, Alpha, or Credo? Could you please guide me on what they asked in the interview?
