Gas suppliers
Gas suppliers: is there tech that lets you see your customers' gas levels so you can deliver refills before they run out?

we use tank telemetry at the company i work for, ultrasonic sensors strapped right to the tank that ping readings every few hours. cuts down on emergency calls like you wouldn't believe, and customers stop panicking when the gauge dips below 20%.
biggest headache is the cellular dead zones in rural spots, had one tank reporting 15% for three days straight before we realized the modem was just frozen. now we pair them with a cheap satellite backup that sends one reading a day if the cell signal drops.
worth every penny though, my dispatch guys went from 40 emergency runs a month to maybe 5.

Yes, there are these little white devices with antennas that can report the tank capacity. And youre probably talking about propane gas tanks.
