Zion Williamson weighing in at 277 Ibs to start his 7th NBA season, having lost an additional 7 Ibs compared to training camp last year
/r/nba/comments/1wsivwx/zion_williamson_weighing_in_at_277_ibs_to_start/Also in Pelicans news:
Trey Murphy has gained 14 pounds, now at 6’9” 220 lbs up from 206 last preseason.
Saddiq “LeBron” Bey has gained a whopping 25 pounds and is now 6’8” and 240.
19 year old Jeremiah Fears measuring at 6’4” and 188 lbs
Murphy, Fears, Queen, Murray, and Karlo have all gained 1” height which is especially nice to see from the guys in their mid to late 20’s

Same old story...Zion lost weight, looks good....poses with a ball for a shoot after a workout!!
Come the season time...makes no difference. He is STILL too heavy. Needs to come in under 250 as other people have said. That weight is the reason why he keeps getting injured.
Sad really cos he had it. Could have been that guy but lack of discipline as hurt him no end

That’s what I like to hear, they don’t want no part of 277 pound ZION
Also if you lying respect for posting ts to that Bucket head ass main nba Reddit. They disrespect us so they don’t deserve the truth

Chuck had Moses giving him those hard truths. Who was Zion's "you're fat and lazy" Moses Malone? SVG? Langdon who is sneak dissing Zion at the Pistons media day? It's probably Dumars who only came into the picture in year seven, unfortunately for all of us. Not the orgs fault but the kind of infrastructure needed without that self driven Kobe/LeBron mentality didn't really exist anywhere but Miami, San Antonio and maybe Boston. He's taking to it now hopefully as part of maturing.

It’s not about weight. Chuck could shoot, dribble, rebound, defend, etc. Chuck won an MVP! Zion can’t do any of that. He has not improved a single aspect of his game.

Chuck had a chip on his shoulder tho. He felt overlooked and knew he was undersized and just a country boy the blue chip programs didn't want and he had something to prove to them. It's different being told you're the best thing since sliced LeBron bread and being tagged as "the next big thing" then actually doing it. Tiny violin and all but still.

Zion is still too heavy for BB. He will be hurt again. It is inevitable. I so hope Dumars can trade Zion for something. It would feel like a weight from around the neck is gone. And, if we could get a bowl of gumbo and a couple 2nds I'd be happy.

He's playing the wrong sport. Good for him with the NBA mostly guaranteed money. Going into an 8th year as a starting NFL lineman would be impressive for just existing that long. The weight restrictions on his contract would be based on not weighing enough 😂

277 for a guy 6'6 who relies on massive hops is just an insane weight. He should be under 250lbs imo, really more like 230-240lbs. Abject failure on Zions part.

lol that's funny as fuck... down to 277 sounds like that's still high as fuck to be jumping and carrying around. im 6'5 and blew up to 289. and felt every bit of that. going up stairs or whatever. Zion should be at 255-260 lbs standing at 6'5-6'6... that would take so much off his hamstrings having to fast twitch all that mass on stop and gos which is how he hurts his hammies. it's the weight. it' might be ,"under control" but its not at its optimum. what's odd is that mzt everyone loses some mass once season starts and the constant running in games. and practice and the inability to weight lift as during the offseason. but Zion actually gains weight if he doesn't stay true to a diet. He's a big boy, don't want him to lose that girth but he needs to play at a lighter a weight. shit LeBron is 6'8 and plays at about 255-265... Zion should be at 265 the heaviest.

"Murphy, Fears, Queen, Murray, and Karlo have all gained 1” height which is especially nice to see from the guys in their mid to late 20’s"
I don't buy any of this. Those guys have all grown 1" over the offseason? That makes no sense.
