Justin Verlander flipped off Philly fans during the World Series and said the exact same thing.

Whatās the problem?
Iād bet everything I own the Eagles fans started chirping first, theyāre probably just happy to be acknowledged

Never really had a reason to dislike Philly fans until a couple years ago. Went to a Bills bar in SLC to watch the Bills/Eagles. All us 50+ bills fans were in the downstairs area minding our own. Bills lost a tough one and a pair of eagles fans came down to parade around and get in a few people's faces trying to instigate a fight.
Started to be more glaring how terrible most of them are. At least the worst bills fans tend to be annoying and maybe a little insane (tables?) but we're typically friendly.

Youāre really gonna double down on being defensive over this shit?
And you donāt have a more recent example then over 30 years ago, before you were even born?
Bro, your fanbase pulled this shit TODAY. Donāt be butthurt, be better lmao

u/DickBottalico Philadelphia Eagles 4h ago
I just mentioned Knicks fans this summer and you played dumb. Are you a Yankees fan who ripped off an outfielders glove in the World Series or have you never heard of that sport?
So instead I mentioned something that happened 27 years after we had a snowball fight with Santa Claus

But it was only a water and at a closed window.
In Philadelphia sports that is good natured ribbing and likely the least threatening thing that happened in that stadium

That was the Philly way of saying āYou called a good game today, but we really need to figure out our second half issues. Hopefully we can get another rematch with you in the post-season and get the last laugh!ā Sorry havenāt been back to visit in a few years, so Iām a little rusty.

Show the whole clip. The eagles fans are already yelling at the press box before this, insinuating it had already been occurring. Then someone throws a full drink at the press box.
Bum ass trying to paint it like our coaches just doing this unprovoked.

On a side note why do they have the coaches and owners boxes so close to the fans? It seems like you can design them for minimal interaction. Theyāre either for sportscasters, assistant coaches, celebrities and rich peopleā¦none of whom want to be interacting with loud and obnoxious fansā¦the type whoās life highlight is heckling all of the above.Ā
