You're not cooked, but my mind was trying to spot any sign of AI work throughout the video, I hate this.
Great job though, you've got skills.

Is it AI though?

Ahhh man, I kind of hate this too, whenever I see something I always ask if it's AI or not. It's not AI at all. But to be fair, I did generate the last wallpaper with ChatGPT and then added a texture from Texturelabs and some Chromatic Aberration with QCA2 and some fast box blur on the edges. I even wrote the expression for the carousel myself😢

Don't feel bad. I have worked in a few creative agencies and most use ai. One for a tv network used it just like you did last year and my salary was $89k. They want the base skills down and then use ai to go faster or cleaner.

Yes this is how companies are approaching motion design now. You train your skills up then scale you up with a AI work flow. This way you can make projects for clients faster. We live in a capitalist society. All they care about is the end product.

Exactly. Had a client once spend around 700-800 a month per chair. They just wanted fast clean products. But they only hired actual graphic designers. Bc our understanding of design and copy can help regulate ai. No one cares. End product is the bottom line.

Since it's free and runs locally,...nothing?

Edit: Ah oops didn't see the subreddit, thought was in a vibecoding subreddit. My bad. Sorry man, the motion design is top notch, depends how long you worked on it. I'd say a seasoned artist can do this in a couple of days and it depends on your country as well. But whatever is worth a couple of days work in your country I guess.

I did a far simpler ~1min SAAS animation a month ago for 5k, so I’d imagine double that and then some.

I did something far superior than this and it was for $5000 USD. Really depends on the client and timeline.

Oh, definitely. It also depends on the team, project timeline, and more often than not, how desperate for work I am!

en général il faut que tu te dise que tu dois facturé au minimum 350€ par jour de travail. Si tu arrive a facturer plus cher, bien joué.

I actually liked this take on the boilerplate saas videos, if you did all design, storyboards etc I could see this being a $5000+ gig.

Edit: if it's for an actual large company, 5x that price 😂

Nice but at some parts it's felt off for me cause the animations and all are well done except for some parts and at last part the typography seemed off like that part was done by someone else.. work a bit on easing and typography, you got the skills jus polish it. The switch from sans serif to serif text on last wallpaper part is what I'm talking about , cud have sticked with sans serif itself.

I'll definitely work on that.

Was about to comment. Op lacks understanding of typography - letter spacing, typefaces and all.

Problem is, for a $20/mo Claude subscription, you could probably pump out like 15 of these. For someone looking for the best bang for their buck, you'd have to price yourself at less than $1.30 per video to remain competitively priced.

A lot of people still don't understand how good AI has gotten. For them, you might be able to charge thousands, but prepare for the cash flow to dry up as people catch up with current AI capabilities.

At that point, your best bet for paying rent is probably giving blowies behind McDonalds because most AI is banned from generating adult content. It's a field humans are still better than AI in.

Yeah I fully agree. But you're in enemy territory lol. These guys think they actually retain some talent over AI. AI motion design is in its infancy too. Imagine the future. I have a few friends in YC right now and they don't see the point of paying tens of thousands for a 1 min product explainer video or launch video.

AI went for webdev first, and now motion design

Yeah, it's getting pretty serious. I find myself often preferring my vibe coded apps to professional apps made by big companies. Claude can write 200 page novels that actually have good plots. As you said, web development is completely toast. Most people have very basic websites & AI will exceed their needs already. No jobs will be left, except for what AI refuses to do. See you guys behind McDonald's. We're going to have a lot of competition.
