came back from a 5 day trip and he decided to interrupt water cleaning with intense holding demands

I love when they (any reptile) transparently and clearly want out of the enclosure for the sole purpose of being up in your business.

Maybe not love or affection per-se but I’m convinced it’s something adjacent.

Its species-ist to say they dont have an emotional-associated bond. The knowledge of how we understand animal brains is rapidly changing in fundamental ways.

Goofy emotional overly-attached chicken. Hims had a routine, you interupted his routine, and now hims needs reassurance that routine will be back in place. 😤
