I re-animated the Mega Man 8 stage select visuals from scratch.

I did add the select sound effect from the original game but for some reason it hasn't come through properly.

Weird.

I've always wanted a complete set. Maybe it's something I'll start working towards it'll be a massive project for sure

This is my custom fighting game roster, mostly focused on classic megaman vs megaman x (though the dlc at the bottom would represent the rest of the megaman series as well). I decided to choose characters based on 3 aspects: Diversity (Both in potential gameplay and game origin), rivalry (making characters have counterparts from the other series and vice versa), and representation (which characters represent their respective games/elements the best). For a few of these characters I leaned into traditional fighting game archetypes to decide (blizzard buffalo, grizzly slash, and guts man all being large grappler type characters), while others have admittidely less conventional fighting styles (solar man would be about countering moves rather than straight up attacking)

This would be a hypothetical mix of street fighter and marvel vs capcom, where characters can go high the air and such but doesn't have assists. I decided to split the base roster into main characters and robot masters/mavericks. What do you think?

i already have the threezero one and while i like the figure there are some things im not the biggest fan of with him, before i fully commit and get a zero to go with him and maybe an armour or two i was wondering if there's any better ones?

the blokkees one looks good but im not the biggest fan of model kits

A small development update from my Mega Man X Retro Experiment Lab!

This time, I’m testing two new additions for Zero: Earth Crush and Pulse Chain.

Earth Crush is a new special attack that gives Zero temporary invincibility while creating a large area of damage around him.

Pulse Chain is still very much a work in progress. The current version is just a basic test of the whip mechanics, and I’m planning to add more unique moves and techniques to the weapon later.

There are still quite a few unfinished features and bugs to deal with, especially after the Flame Mammoth update introduced way more new mechanics than I originally expected. 😂 That’s also why I haven’t released a new PC demo recently.

For now, I’m just sharing another small look at the ongoing development. More to come! 👀

I have been collecting megaman games and merch for some years at this point, I dont have much bc stuff is really rare and expensive here in europe but I hope yall like it!

I still love X so much, he's my favorite protagonist ever and my favorite Mega Man, but Zero is my favorite character of all time and he has my favorite character design! I love how X and Zero designs fit their personalities and fighting style, I love Zero's origins and lore, I love his personality, I love all of his abilities, I love that he sacrifices himself a lot, with X1 and Zero 4 having his best deaths imo and I love his character development! I also really love Axl in X8 a lot too as he's very underrated imo!

Anyways, which of these Mega Man X heroes is your favorite? Please explain why. :)
