so MAGA farmers chased off immigrant farmworkers because Trump said they were taking American jobs, now they can’t find anyone to pick their crops. Funny how the pick-yourselves-up-by-the-bootstraps crowd suddenly needs someone else to do the work

Where's Project 2028 for Democrats? I haven't seen nearly enough to counter this bullshit. It's gross how badly the 'smart' party is at planning for the future right now against all this crime family theft against the American people.

As much as I like to shit on farmers here and will continue to do so for their Trump vote the 99% American still is the one that suffers from all this.

Let's get past the midterms

They've already said it, they plan to "move on and unite the country", which translated to action is "do nothing and hold no one accountable"

The establishment democrats see nothing wrong with whats happening, their donors are the same corporations as republicans, the trouble is they have to pretend to care about people where as the republicans don't

The job of establishment democrats is to push down the actual left (DSA) and keep the corpo money train chugging along until the republicans win again and they can say "Gosh golly, we just didn't capitulate enough, oh well, you'll just have to vote harder next time"

The same can be said about the democratic voters. So really a matching pair.

Who's the representative you want people to support instead?

I would love a Democrat Project 2028z how we correct this mother Fugker. Don’t know that we will solve what the idiot farmers did to themselves. I actually think they deserve every drop and should have to repay any funds . They actually make good money with this racket

They have to get back the overseas markets that Trump needed to tariff. Trump, the guy they voted for. Bunch of idiots.

We haven't heard a thing from democrats. They are acting like everything is normal. Haven't heard a united message, haven't seen a united front on policies, nothing on healthcare, and not much as a peep about doing anything about trump. Are they even running? WHO? There's no DSA candidates on my ballot, just people saying they don't want to go after trump. Democrats bailed and said no one is coming to save you. Wow, thanks.

There's only one lesson to learn here.  There are a lot of corporate shills in Democratic leadership positions.

Once we vote out most of the shitty Republicans, that's when we start to vote out the shitty Democrats.

Establishment democrats are controlled opposition, often funded by the very same people who fund the other side

You think that the almost 100% of the media controlled by Conservatives is gonna let you hear about positive messaging from Dems?

Christ, you’re doing the propaganda for them.

1

u/NormieSpecialist 1h ago

I mean why wouldn’t they?

You saying Dem bad isn't helping a united front either.

Is there not a single good Democrat you would want to highlight instead?

In a normal world, "Project 2025 for Democrats" would just be holding everyone accountable to the constitution.

Most of the crops are grown for foreign sell. This is the reason farmers are suffering. The Heritage Foundation (authors of the Project 20XX) America First strategy is to eliminate most farmers subsidies since they benefit the farmers and provide discounted crops to foreign customers at the expense of the American tax payer. There's more info on page 396 of Project 2025.

That seems like a lot of work when they could just cut off foreign customers and point out it is a national security concern to be offloading all these resources to them.

Also it seems like this administration is very pro foreign influence here with Israel, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and some others involvement so I'm not sure what the purpose of Project 2025 is trying to achieve when it seems like we've had more foreign influence than ever before.

Because Schumers got his, he's basically complicit at this point

Their leadership is smart enough to know they're not relevant on the national stage anymore.  Dems will become a regional power, then probably just a local one, over the next decade or two.

You poor poor innocent thing.

Isn't that pretty much just doing what they'd do on day 1 any ways? Reverse all of the Trump executive orders, fire the trump appointed heads of everything, the only part government that can't be cleaned up right away is the judicial branch unless enough of congress is blue enough to pass term limits.

4

u/dangly_bits 4h ago

Surely you aren't being serious...

How will rebuild USAID on day 1? How will they undo all the fuckery DOGE did? What sort of actions will undo the BBB? How would they begin clawing back the billions of dollars of tax dollars given to the tech oligarchs? How do you suggest they fix our economy and turn around the national debt train? How will they regain the soft power we've lost globally? Etc. etc.

1

u/SaltyYumYumBalls 4h ago

Itll take some weeks to appoint permanent department heads but in the mean time its fire and replace with temps like Trump did. Executive orders only last as loing as the next president wants them so yes they can easily be wiped away. SOme things will take longer than others but most things can be wiped away like a smear. Others will take some time and work. Just like it took time and work to get the shit work through.

You're right, where is the progressive cabal of ultra wealthy industry and finance mavens?

It's structurally easier for people who believe in the concentration of wealth to gather enough influence in the same room to create a politically powerful consensus, compared to the people who don't. That and it just takes a whole lot more of the latter to bribe a congressperson.

There's no profit in helping the poor, so even democrats who want to do so have little funding needed to win elections.
