An Blue Dot Iowa Farmer Rips into Trump & Ashley Hinson.

Ashley Hinson keeps telling Iowa farmers she’s fighting for them while supporting the larger policies squeezing them, tariffs and trade uncertainty, expensive diesel and fertilizer, and health-care cuts hitting rural Iowa. Then she points to Save Our Bacon and an E15 bill that still isn’t law as proof she’s delivering.

Ashley Hinson:
- Backed Tariffs Hurting Iowa Farmers
- Supported Policies Driving Up Farm Costs
- Voted to Continue the Iran War Amid Rising Diesel & Fertilizer Costs
- Backed Medicaid Cuts Threatening Rural Iowa Healthcare
- Promised Year-Round E15 — Still Not Law
- Introduced the ā€œSave Our Bacon Actā€
- Took $65K+ From Pork-Industry Interests
- Talks About Helping Farmers While Supporting Policies Squeezing Them

They don’t care about you. They never have.

And they never will.

But ya know - keep voting for ā€˜em.

u/trumpisalittleman 10h ago

And they will.

I don’t see a lot of dipshit Trump supporters piping up in them anymore.

8

u/0202_tihssitidder 9h ago

Iowa is still 5 years away from Internet.

They just got paved roads in 2024. Some paved roads.

3

u/goodtimevib3 9h ago

The younger voting population is on here. It’s important.

u/jjjbabajan 7h ago

Everyone talks about Mississippi and Louisiana being bad places to live but Iowa is dead last in a lot of areas. Horrible places to raise kids.

If that’s a can of dip in her pocket you know she’s hardcore

These people are such nut jobs. I’m afraid for the safety of the blue dot fa farmers. I’m glad she’s speaking out. She’s one brave lady.

5

u/whoneedskollege 9h ago

To be fair, I don't think she voted for Trump last time around. Not all farmers are idiots.

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 10h ago

This is what speaking up for your community looks like. Iowa farmers are struggling, and instead of staying quiet while Ashley Hinson & Trump supports policies making their lives harder, she’s standing up and demanding accountability!

Iowa farmers deserve representatives who actually fight for them, not just talk about them when they need their votes.

5

u/Either_Capital_2422 10h ago

Iowa farmers deserve representation that supports them? They deserve the representation they voted for. If they wanted a politician that would supported them they had that option on the ballot and said no thank you.

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 10h ago

You do know there is an election in a month. Change your tone if you want them to do the right thing. Iowa has a solid chance of turning blue. Trump is one thing, now it’s time to get rid of him and all his knee pad supporters.

I've been heavily downvoted for saying this. Just fyi. It's Reddit and anything that is counter to the hive mind is verboten, even if you're on the same side.

3

u/mitchENM 9h ago

They will still vote republican next month. This is all performative

4

u/0202_tihssitidder 9h ago

Americans, you (as a group) are too stupid to change. Best to vote Republican and embrace total annihilation and death. Cheer for that Death Cult (serious) they got. From the ashes others will be able to build something nice.

The USA needs to fall. You guys can't even fix a pool...and you're still rabidly supporting 85-year olds to run things. You are campaigning on who has more testosterone and eats more steak. Does that sound like a country that deserves to continue? No, it does not.

Come on. At some point you have lost. Admit defeat and go. Give someone else a chance to run things.

Why isn't mainstream media talking to these farmers? It's always some 'aww shucks' farmer who cites their christian values as to why they supported a man who paid to have sex with a porn star shortly after his wife gave birth to his son.

1

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 10h ago

They are… you just don’t see it on your algorithm

2

u/braumbles 9h ago

When has Fox News or NYT talked to these people?

1

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 9h ago

NYT has, and if Fox News is main stream media then you are a lost cause. But a lot of them have, just not ā€œbig issuesā€ for Fox, but Fox Trump doesn’t like anymore, so who knows what might come out

5

u/Blanny22 10h ago

Which part of I'm going to introduce tarrifs and deport your staff was appealing to them?

5

u/Either_Capital_2422 10h ago

Dear pedo said other countries pay tariffs and black people would line up to pick the crops.

Why bother thinking for yourself or question anything when the convicted fraudster tells you what to think.

u/Blanny22 9h ago

Fucking morons

Down right reasonable

3

u/Wide-Yak7602 10h ago

I think for any politician anywhere they work for you. If they are not living up to the job you fire them.
It should be the best man for the job and not sticking with the party because that is always who you vote for.

3

u/Wide-Yak7602 10h ago

Edit also best woman for the job.

3

u/Kilyn 9h ago

Remember, don't just vote because they're "blue" the most important vote is the primary vote.

This is where you can filter who's bought out by corporations and who fights for you.

2

u/williamgman 10h ago

Here's the problem I have with the "blue dot" farmer. That term did not exist before August of this year. What changed..?

4

u/ImminentWeirdness 9h ago edited 9h ago

Not a damned thing. You’re wise to be cautious, as it could be a couple of different things.

Taken at face value, it’s simply Republican and Independent farmers strategically re-branding themselves as ā€œblue dotā€ Democrats. ā€œWe’re not like those farmersā€ (old, racist, uneducated, homophobic) or, interestingly, even overweight.

It also creates a new form of identity politics, something closer to a farmer who drives an EV and owns a Peloton, yet eats a juicy ribeye twice a day and three times on Sunday.

There’s an appeal there to both the so-called coastal elites as well as to the podcast bro audience. The dietary supplement market in the US is currently valued at $75 billion/yr. with expected annual growth between 7-8%.

I’m not sure who created the Peloton Farmer, but I think this is the least cynical interpretation.

2

u/williamgman 9h ago

My thought was mainly a marketing ploy. There no "certification" for being said farmer. And since 77% voted red... definitely a minority.

u/clduab11 3h ago

I had my doubts about this whole "blue-dot farm" thing and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.

3

u/TerryFinallyBackedUp 10h ago

Smart farmers banded together and made a smart re-branding decision.

3

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 10h ago

It did, you just didn’t know about them. It’s been around since 2008

1

u/williamgman 10h ago

Cites please. I only find that it grew out of the suspension of imported beef tariffs in August (mainly on TikTok). The term blue dot was in place for democratic/liberal rural voters. The farmers adopted it just this summer.

3

u/DuhBraux Leopard King šŸ† šŸ‘‘ 9h ago

No, it started in Nebraska during 2008 Obama’s presidential run. Blue Dot in a Sea of Red

There are other cites but I don’t subscribe to LA times

1

u/williamgman 9h ago

Yes. That refers to the voters. The term blue dot farmer refers specifically to the farmers who want to bring attention to them no voting GOP. It's a way for consumers to purchase from farms that share their views. If I can buy products from a blue farmer vs a red one..? Absolutely.

1

u/Thenewmcscott 7h ago

This is pure pedantry.

2

u/Either_Capital_2422 10h ago

Is it in response to all the maggot farmers complaining about the cost of fuel and lack of workers and they blame Biden and will continue to vote republican?

2

u/CatLightyear 5h ago edited 5h ago

Farmers who don’t vote against their own interest because they’re racist and homophobic. They’re reporting on their dumb fuck red-dot farmer neighbors complaining about self-inflicted wounds and flames from a fire they helped stoke. Oh well.

Sorry. Here’s best I can do for the red-dot farmers.

2

u/Wise-Emotion5564 5h ago

I live in California and have been buying blue dot farm products since 2017

Dear voters around the world, your politician is your bitch, the moment they act like that isn't the case they need to be gone

2

u/Slumunistmanifisto 10h ago

He's a business man.Ā

Its like when those company CEOs say they're focusing on a division thats struggling.

Suddenly every division employee is laid off just before the shareholders Christmas bonuses, then the division is offshoretomated.

Business men do business. Toad v Scorpion

u/New-Bear-3250 10h ago

More than just put political identities aside, throw out aligning with a political party! Hear what politicians are saying and ask if it aligns with their actions and voting records.

The reason were in this mess is because people view politics like sports. There are real world consequences to voting - you don't just get to turn off the TV and go about your day anymore.

2

u/Ill_Consequence1755 10h ago

What will these rich assholes do when the people who provide them with EVERYTHING, are gone.

Should be fun to watch.

2

u/SoCallMeDeaconBlues1 9h ago

Yeah but there's the problem

Because you won't be able to watch anymore. Remember they own EVERYTHING.

2

u/SlowYaRoll007 9h ago

Nuff said

2

u/CueAnon420 9h ago

We also need Democrats to focus on the most important issues that affect ALL OF US - leave all the trans rights stuff for a later day. Yes, people should all be able to love who they want - but what's more important to EVERYONE right now - Joe who became Jill playing school sports, or getting out of Iran and providing affordable health care to all citizens?

The Dems need to pick their battles - and I do not feel they have been prioritizing them correctly...

2

u/sweatboxy 8h ago

When they all vote Republican next month, it will just confirm that they’d rather get handouts than work hard.

2

u/briggch 7h ago

Republicans have been voting against self interest for at least 45 years now. You would think they would eventually figure out they are doing nothing but hurting themselves, but nope, they keep voting Republican.

2

u/daveynwo 6h ago

If you are a farmer and voted blue I feel sorry for you, but if you are a farmer who voted for Trump and still says that will vote for him again if he's able to be a candidate, I can care less for you if you lose your farm.

2

u/Fed_Deez_Nutz 2h ago

Why is it you can tell who someone voted for just by how well spoken they are and the logic of their arguments?

1

u/hippie1952 10h ago

Just hope they are smart enough to vote the enablers out

1

u/InvestigatorFun1797 10h ago

Didn't all the trump voters want to see him on the farm?

1

u/InvestigatorFun1797 10h ago

The memes would suggest that Donny is mans man, with rippling man muscles?

1

u/fucktheus12 10h ago

She voted for him, so she gets what she deservesĀ

1

u/KinseyH 10h ago

She literally said she didn't. Wtf are you on?

1

u/fucktheus12 10h ago

She said she didn't vote for this, not she didn't vote for trump. She voted for trump, but wanted him to hurt other people. Y'all better hope that department of education comes back, because your comprehension is shite

1

u/KinseyH 7h ago

Well shit.

I'm the one on something I guess.

1

u/fucktheus12 6h ago

It's ok. Maybe don't defend these people, they need to learn a lesson. Every action has consequences, and that's what's happening.

Project 2025 proposes eliminating the Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs, which ā€œ[protect] farmers from substantial drops in crop prices or revenuesā€ according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The plan would also ā€œban farmers from receiving ARC and PLC payments the same year they also receive crop insurance indemnities,ā€ undermining farmers’ ability to plant the next crop. Moreover, Project 2025 would make it harder for small and family farmers’ to access capital via Farm Service Agency loans and undermine their ability to expand to new markets. The plan also calls for eliminating crop export promotion programs, such as the Market Access Program and Foreign Market Develo

You’re more than a little off the mark. Just wait until the Dems control the house and senate and decide it’s time for political unity and blah blah blah. Voting will not get us out of the problems we are in. Isn’t that blatantly clear to you all?
