It turns out you cannot eat pure political rhetoric when the trade war bill comes due.

Nothing screams rugged, independent free-market capitalism quite like begging the government for a multibillion-dollar bailout because your own preferred trade policies vaporized your customer base.

You voted to burn down the global grain market and are now stunned to discover you actually have to live inside the ashes.
Broad tariff regimes inevitably trigger direct retaliatory duties on domestic agricultural exports, converting thriving family operations into federally dependent welfare cases overnight. Handing out billions in taxpayer-funded stopgap relief does not recover structural export market share; it simply forces the public to subsidize avoidable self-inflicted losses while multi-generational farms fold under the debt.

Lol that one gets me every the time. They want us to empathize with them. To see them as victims of circumstance... Yet they refuse to even consider that they, themselves, had some control over their own fate

If the democrats weren't so bad I wouldn't have to vote for Trump!

While literally wanting things to go back to how they were before Trump.

Voting Republican is a luxury that most Americans can only afford to do under a Democrat's economy.

We've seen it over and over again. In my lifetime, every time a Republican becomes president, they crash the economy. Democrat's come back into office, fix things up (again), people feel secure that their Maslow's hierarchy of needs are stable again... then, a subset of the population start complaining about nonsense, proceeds to vote republican...😮‍💨...again. It's the circle of ugh...
