Nebraska Farmer Realizes he is now a libtard.
Nothing screams rugged, pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps individualism quite like demanding federal emergency checks the second the fuel pump hits your own wallet. Apparently, government handouts are a moral failure of the weak—right up until it’s time to fill the John Deere.
The agriculture sector relies on billions in baseline federal safety nets, commodity supports, and direct disaster relief funded by the very taxpayers often lectured about self-reliance. Rebranding a taxpayer bailout as "agricultural stabilization" doesn't change the line item on the federal ledger—it’s the exact entitlement spending fiscal hawks claim to despise.
It’s only called "socialism" when it helps someone else; when it fills your fuel tank, it's suddenly "market stabilization."
Enjoy the government-funded harvest.

Yes people who don't accept large donations, the corporate democratic party is also owned by billionaires and has no issues with funding genocide and stopping anyone who is even remotely for the working class like Bernie Sanders, they would rather have Trump than Bernie and they freak out when anyone calls out that they are war mongers just like trump as you see with how they attack Hassan Piker. So someone who actually will help the working class has to go against the Republicans and Democrats, and they are both completely owned by billionaires and Zionist fanatics.

Nobody is reading that. Keep plugging your ears and screaming woke brother

I read it, it's correct. I'd ask you what part was incorrect, but by your own words you didn't even read it before deciding it was Wrong.

You one of those simple minds that thought Donald Trump actually wanted to release the Epstein files and arrest the billionaire pedophiles? Though now you are happy to pay more for everything as he starts a war for Israel to distract from the fact that he's a blackmailed pedophile and the Star of the Epstein Files?

They HAVE to learn to pick themselves up by their cornstalks. Eat soybeans at home and stop buying groceries and for christ sake stop with the Diesel trucks doing everything and farm the land yourself with your grit and ingenuity....

They'd probably be more successful if their god wanted them to be. Thoughts and prayers. 🫶🏻

With a ton of back breaking labor and huge families, the Amish manage to put a lot of crops in the ground.
And they barely burn any diesel at all. Maybe if farmers would work harder from Sun up to Sundown 7 days a week and use horse-drawn equipment they might save some money on fuel.

No saving, they get to suffer with the rest of us. Should have been wiser. They can either own their farm or own the libs. Bankruptcy is their only option at this point.

[sniffs primly]. : well, he should have made sure he had at least 12 months of emergency funds saved.

He didn’t realize shit. He still thinks his handouts are somehow different and more worthy.
3
u/RoyalApprehensive226 13h ago
Exactly this. The idea that farmers don’t want government handouts is insane. They don’t want other people getting handouts, especially if it’s a group that easy for them to hate. Farmers have been on the government payroll for so long they apparently can’t even comprehend it.

if they want socialism let's give them socialism. Their farms are now "collectivized" (government owned) and a bureaucrat tells them what to plant and gives them a quota they need to fulfill to earn their salary.
7
u/Nice78620 15h ago
Not Socialism. You are thinking : Communism would require collective ownership by the government.

Farmers are neck and neck with the oil industry for the biggest welfare queens in the United States while constantly crying about socialism.

Democracy is a pretty liberal idea... Republicans dont like democracy, they want to tell other people what to do, they're authoritarians.

I feel bad engaging with this, but this could just be some made up story. What is the point of content that only discusses other content without showing it or linking to it?

I mean, corn production is all one big circular loop in the state of Nebraska. Almost 100% of corn in Nebraska is NOT for human consumption. It's either for ethanol production or livestock feed. So when gas prices go through the roof, farmers don't generally care because the demand and price for ethanol and ethanol blends also goes up. Since most of a farmer's trucks and equipment runnon diesel rather than regular gasoline, they frankly don't give a shit.
On top of that, if cattle consumption/exports get too low, then the cattle farmers stop breeding as many cows, and the demand for livestock feed corn also goes down.
That's not even getting started with the issues of soybean exports and prices, which just so happens to be the second biggest agricultural crop grown in Nebraska. No one around the world is buying them anymore. Typically you rotate fields between corn and soybeans from one year to the next to preserve the soil, so even if one is having a bad year, you can at least have the other to see you through to the next season.
For decades farmers have been able just vote (R) and not really have drastic, dramatic consequences (at least not all at once)
There's always been issues from year to year or administration to administration that bring harm or struggles to farmers, but they're usually smaller, more temporary problems. This is really the first time in my lifetime that they're really having to deal with a major find out phase after fucking around for so long.
Edit: source: me, lifelong Nebraskan

Okay, what about the woman with two kids, a full time job, then is doing gig work at night for next to nothing, who can’t afford the gas money to do the gig job that pays for her kids childcare and school lunches. Does she get a “stabilizing” check too, or is that welfare?

“Farmers” have gotten WAY too comfortable asking for handouts.
Aid for farmers shouldn’t be just a check they can spend on whatever they want. It should be vouchers like WIC. They should get a monthly voucher for fuel. They should get a monthly box of food staples. Housing assistance for their mortgage should be sent directly to the bank. They should have to go to the county office every three months to verify they’ve met the 20 hours a week of work requirements and not just playing around at home on their failed “farms” — really work outside the home for every adult in the household — retail or janitorial or paraeducators or personal care assistance jobs. And once they have reached their family’s lifetime limit, they should be disqualified from receiving Agricultural Bailout ever again.

Why is there a random coconut? That's what us Latinos call the LatinXs that racist Democratic party leaders find palatable. Brown on the outside, white on the inside coconuts. The 94% of us who are Latino are stuck on the outside

Well, he didn't. You're falling for a political parody account.
Actual trumptard farmers have been busy cashing government checks all year.

u/mslauren2930 13h ago
Listening to a farmer explain her land was currently worth over $2 million sapped me of all sympathy. I wish I were sitting on a $2 million lottery ticket.

Only about 30% of crops grown are actually consumed by people in UIS (Fruits and veg), the rest is exported, used as bio-fuel or animal feed. This isn't so much a national security concern as it is subsidizing a voting block.
1
u/ResponsibleBank1387 12h ago
Farmers with their subsidies has always been socialism. Epstein’s buddy is more authoritarian communist, with his government’s ownership and price control.

u/williamgman 11h ago
While these posts are interesting... It gets old seeing the common sense folks point them out. But the farmers NEVER admit their vote mattered. We need to find posts from THOSE FARMERS (not blue dot) admitting they f'ded up. But they are far and few between.

u/GreatPlainsFarmer 11h ago edited 11h ago
That's from a self-described political parody account.
Not a real farmer.

u/jackman924 11h ago
I have great respect for farmers in general because it's long days and hard work. I know because I spent most of the summers of my youth on my aunt and uncles farm. BUT, I have no sympathy for the farmers who voted for the Orange Turd everytime he ran knowing the he screwed them over in his first term, every way he could. You morons got exactly what you voted for.

u/PerceptionOk681 11h ago edited 11h ago
Is Trump wanting to give out checks socialism? Or that doesn’t count?😳
1
u/Training-Front-3086 11h ago
All the farmers should drive their tractors to Washington-Maybe even to the Capitol building-to protest. They can collect their $5,000 checks from Trump there. I'm sure he'll be available to help, if he's not golfing.
1
u/charlie2135 10h ago
I truly believe that not voting in the non-presidential election years is why we have majority Republicans in the congress and senate. People need to vote in every election.
Washington state still has mail in voting and there's no excuse for not voting in our state. You can see who is in charge of the government in states that make it harder to vote.
2
u/chunkalunkk 10h ago
They absolutely should deny all help! That's socialism!! Absolutely, no way! Deny all help, own the liberals and Democrats. That's the welfare queen way!
2
u/pikeshawn 10h ago
The worst part is farmers have always been the quintessential welfare queens. Farm subsidies and enhancement programs are absolutely nothing new. And STILL they cant make it work now that fuel took a jump.

To call someone a libtard kinda speaks of your character. I’m not a republican or liberal ,but I’m not nicknaming either .

u/Advanced_Zucchini_45 15h ago
I mean, no offense, but the federal government should absolutely be subsidizing all gasoline right now onsidering the president keeps telling us , it's temporary end will "very quickly".
I'm sorry, but tell Israel and Argentina that they can't get their money this month because the american people need it.
You know, just like I had to tell Netflix and Disney plus that they can't have any money this month because big oil needs it.
0
u/Funsternis1787 15h ago
How about tell Argentina, Israel, and every other country to get fucked from here on out.
We need to figure our own shit out before giving handouts to foreign nations.
2
u/nobanjostring 14h ago
Great idea! So when are y'all gonna stop stealing Venezuela's oil and pay back the billions you stole and maybe pay reparations for invading a sovereign nation and kidnapping its head of government, so they can maybe also get to figure their own shit out? Hey, while we're at it how about Iraq, too? And Iran. Chile. Nicaragua. Vietnam.Panama. Grenada. Haiti...

“I hate socialism…I own the libtards.”
…But he wants handouts now that he needs them.
Fuck these clowns.

u/Ok-Sympathy9768 14h ago
This just seems like it is ai bs. People on both sides need to recognize this is one big manipulation mind F@&k.
When I am driving around in my community, I see parking lots full at grocery stores and at Costco and Walmart.. and restaurants are packed and fast food drive thru are packed. People are driving nice cars; People are out and about spending money.
Sorry, but what I see doesn’t match the narrative.. yes prices are higher, but the general public doesn’t seem phased by paying higher prices.
1
u/RunningPirate 13h ago
Ok, people buy nice cars and pay them off. When the economy dumps, they don’t turn into an ‘84 Cavalier with more Bondo than metal, they are still nice cars. Folks don’t sell them because it’s cheaper and more reliable than buying something that is deems more socially acceptable by you. And folks still need to buy food.
2
u/Ok-Sympathy9768 13h ago
That is a good point.. I know I am getting down voted, but I am just not seeing people acting like they are hurting financially, and I can’t unsee it, and it doesn’t fit the narrative. Accurate data does not lie either, such as the savings rate decreasing on both ends of the K. Things are not adding up.
My big concern is when this economy comes crashing down it is going to be really really bad. I am concerned that people are recklessly spending; knowing they are gonna to end up going bankrupt anyway. so they are maxing out all their credit cards and living it up while they still can. Also, some banks are allowing home loans to go into forbearance and are “hiding” the defaults that are eventually going to happen.
1
u/RunningPirate 12h ago
Fair point. Folks are running in credit now, so when that runs out is when things will really go south.
1
u/Ok-Sympathy9768 11h ago
IF, people are actually in YOLO mode now, racking up credit card debt, they are gonna be totally hosed by spring of next year, at the latest by summer… with that said, it is what it is. Money tightening is a real thing that is on the horizon.
What I do see out there is many people that are in extreme poverty, living on the street, and many addicted to drugs, and/or struggling with mental health issues within a few miles of of the very wealthy.. it’s interesting
