University hall timings
Hey does university hall actually close at 11? I’ve seen some people talk about studying there until the morning? Is it actually true it’s technically open 24 hours?

hi! i’m a high school senior from arizona, and LMU is probably my number two school behind Pepperdine. i love the location, campus size, catholic identity, and the possibility of studying business in los angeles.
i’m currently interested in business/finance and possibly complex commercial insurance brokerage, so i’d really appreciate honest answers from current students or alumni:
sorry this is a lot lol, you definitely don’t have to answer everything. i’d be really grateful for any honest advice, including drawbacks! :)

Halloween is coming, and I want to spend October collecting the strangest stories LMU has to offer.
Every place has its legends. The dorm noises, the odd feelings on the bluff, the empty gym.
We want to hear your stories! What's the most haunting or unexplained thing you've experienced or heard here?
Firsthand accounts, family stories, urban legends, and historical oddities are all welcome. Skeptics are welcome too; sometimes the best part is figuring out what really happened. Happy haunting. 🎃

hi guys, I’m transferring to LMU spring semester from chapman University and I wanted to know how different is the social scene compare Chapman. Because at Chapman, it’s mostly just like an occasional frat parties every few weeks and they get pretty they get rolled by like 1 am and there’s nothing really to do in Orange County but like go to Disney and like the beach so is LMU different I know cause it’s in LA and if I bring a car like there’s a lot of things to do so what other things is there to do?

I turned down four amazing universities for LMU and I’m so glad I did. I really wish they would advertise the amount of resources available for students a lot more because I was so worried about that coming in. I love our campus, I love my classes, I love my professor, I especially love the advisors. I am so proud to be where I am. GO LIONS! 🥹

Hii guys, Reddit is my last resource right now😭, but I’m a first year student who really wants to go to fallapalooza but literally have no friends to tag along with. Has anyone gone alone?? Any tips
My former roommate and I went to the alumni barbecue this past week and I was shocked by how quiet campus was. I get that it was the weekend, but... Maybe I'm just remembering things wrong. Campus just felt dead outside of the event. Like I wasn't expecting too many people in U Hall, but the bluff usually has people playing hacky sack or doing physical activity or just walking.
Even on the days when I had the bluff to myself, I remember listening to people quietly playing music or watching TV from their dorms. But man, it was just us and the birds. Is this a post COVID thing? This weekend was the first time I have been back since then.

I am applying as a first year student through the early action application on November 1st.
Little backstory, I am a dual enrollment student at Eastern Washington University and am beginning my senior year in high school. I was a full time dual enrollment student during my junior year and will continue to be during my senior year. By the time I submit my application I will have completed 11 college classes and 55 credits I believe. I will also be enrolled in 3 classes and 2 labs this coming fall.
I plan to pursue my undergraduate in engineering, possibly electrical because I plan to own my own biotech R&D. Then I plan to pursue my JD in law. My future goals seem like they don’t align with one another and that is what I am worried about. If I had more words to explain my plan in my essays it would become clearer.
If you have the time to review my essay please PM me!

I’m writing my supplemental essay and I am very stuck. I am great at writing research papers but when it comes to writing about myself it’s almost the equivalent of if F. Scott Fitzgerald writing a science novel. I’m very robotic when it comes to writing because I’ve been writing in the college level since my junior year of high school through dual enrollment.
Moreover, I don’t know what to write about. In my personal statement I talked about an invention I made that was inspired by my dogs cardiac condition and explained briefly about why I want to go into engineering and law. However, I don’t want to be repetitive in my supplemental essay. Many events have inspired me to pursue a degree in engineering and law, but I can’t explain that in 500 words.

I was wondering how I could get connected with a personal trainer at the gym here? Is it free if youre a student, and is it worth it?

My son just moved into McKay and with the lack of AC and air circulation the temperature is hot. Pretty unbearable. Anyone have any update on what the plan is to make it more comfortable for the kids?
