Farm Boy Security
I was in Farm Boy ( Kingston) today, why are there security guards at the door and inside the store? I’ve never noticed them before, did something happen to prompt this?

Any interest in a Chen Style Tai Chi / Taijiquan training group in Kingston?
In the interest of making friends and building a local community, I'm curious whether there's much interest in Chen Style Tai Chi in Kingston.
I've trained in Chen Family Taijiquan (Tai Chi) through a traditional apprenticeship-style environment, and I thought it'd be nice to have a community around it.
Training can include both form practice (choreography) and partner practice (Push Hands and applications). The intensity can be scaled to the individual.
I'm mostly trying to figure out whether there are people in Kingston who would actually be interested before organizing anything formally. Beginners would be completely welcome.
If you'd be interested or have questions, feel free to comment or message me.

Question Where to get coin collection appraised?
Looking to get a coin collection appraised and sold. My dad passed recently and I got his American coin collection, the Canadian one went to my brother. Anyways looking to sell and I know absolutely nothing about them.
Anyone know where in Kingston or nearby (willing to drive to it just preferably not like 4 hours away lol) that I can get a coin collection appraised? And whether or not it being American money matters?
Thank you!

Find out where Kingston's municipal election candidates stand on climate action and environmental issues
Hey Kingston, I'm a volunteer with the Kingston Climate Justice Coalition and I wanted to share this Candidate Comparison Tool we just launched to help people who care about climate action and environmental issues make their voting decisions.
These slides give an overview, but check out our website to explore candidates' actual answers. I hope you find it helpful!
How does it work?
We asked candidates across all 12 districts and the mayoral race to state their positions on 15 policy commitments. Using our side-by-side comparison tables, you can see where candidates in your district (and the mayoral race) stand on key issues.
You will also see which candidates chose not to respond. We believe putting commitments in writing is an important way for candidates to be accountable and transparent, and we were pleased that the majority answered our survey.
We contacted non-responding candidates multiple times via their official campaign channels. Our website remains open for updates, should they decide to fill out the questionnaire before election day.
Why did we do this?
With the municipal election campaign in full swing, climate policy is too often getting sidelined in media coverage, all-candidates meetings, and campaign materials.
Kingstonians care deeply about protecting our environment, building a resilient city, and taking action on the climate crisis.
We also know that City Council has a big role to play when it comes to climate action. They make decisions about buildings, transportation, city development, public health, and protecting forests and wetlands.
We created the candidate questionnaire to help cut through generic campaign promises and give everyone a clear look at where each candidate stands on key issues like urban boundary expansion, protecting tenants from extreme heat, and transit investments.
Hopefully you find this tool helpful. Please share with friends and neighbours so that they can make an informed choice on voting day!

Small Butterball Turkey
Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well! I have a very small family and I still like to do the whole turkey I just don‘t need a massive one. All of the grocery stores I went to only had big ones. Does anyone know where I can find a tiny butter infused turkey? Thank you in advance! 🦃

Kream Soda
So I found this at Wally World. It is not worth the price! I have 3 more cans if anyone wants to try it 😅 but be warned, it tastes like club soda that was transported next to a truck hauling cream and strawberry granny candies.

Record Player Cabinet Repair
Does anyone know where I can get my record player cabinet repaired?
I bought this Telefunken Hymnus 105 record player cabinet two years ago and my fiance and I did a lot of repairs on the record player and cosmetic repairs to the cabinet, so it has a lot of sentimental value now.
For two years we had no issues. Its a hi-fi system, so it sounds amazing. We love this thing.
We leave the radio on for our dog when we go out and one day we came home and there was this buzzing sound, almost like electrical interference. We did a lot for tests and research on our own and we think it's a transistor issue. Neither of us are electricians, so we don't want to be messing around with it too much.
The record player itself is working fine, so are the speakers. So I don't think I need an audio technician specifically, but someone who knows vintage appliances maybe? I have the original paperwork for it, so if anyone knows how to read them, maybe it's an easier repair? Its also heavy, so it would probably need to be a house call.
Anyone have any ideas?
