Question Takachiho Gorge boat booking - selling out instantly at 9:00 AM?

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to book a boat for the Takachiho Gorge on the official website, but I keep missing out. Every day I log in right at 9:00 AM JST, but the slots instantly change from available to sold out the exact second they open.

Are bots taking them all? Has anyone managed to book this recently, and do you have any tips?

I've been there a couple of months and I would not spend money on the boats. It's like a 50 meter peddle.

Yes indeed. People have fomo but it's like a lot of insta hype...just hype

Damn even for mid October it’s getting sold? I guess just stroll around. We had a good time even without renting a boat.

Agreed, you really don't need to do the boat rentals. You can even walk down to water-level.

Is everyone headed to Fukuoka soon?! I’ve been having trouble booking too. Might just go with a tour group that does it for you.
