I'm a beginner who runs 5K, 2-3 times a week, mostly on top of gym workouts. I ran 5 km in 45 min yesterday.

Which one would you pick, or is there something better in the same range?

Currently using pagasus 39 which is roughly used and in no good shape.

Just wanted to share a quick appreciation post for the Lotto Energex.

I picked these up for around ₹1,600 from Ajio, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much at that price. But after using them for jogging and casual running, I’m genuinely impressed with the overall quality.

The cushioning is the highlight for me. It feels comfortable and provides a nice amount of cushioning during runs, especially for easy-paced jogging. The build quality also feels much better than I expected for a shoe in this price range.

The only downside I’ve noticed is that they’re a little on the heavier side. I probably wouldn’t choose them if I were specifically looking for a lightweight shoe for speedwork or racing.

But for casual running, jogging, walking, and everyday use, I think these are an excellent value at ₹1.6K.

Honestly, very happy with the purchase. Sometimes you don’t need to spend ₹5–10K for a decent running shoe. 😄

I’m getting back into running after a long break and need help choosing my first proper running shoes.

I ran 5K in ~25 min multiple times in 2021 and logged around 150 km in goldstar 😀 while preparing for an exam. Since then I stopped running and gained weight. I’m currently 83 kg and have started exercising + running again.

My goal is to run ~5K daily, get back in shape and lose weight.

Budget: ₹6,000 (can stretch to ₹6,500)

Regular toe-box

Currently confused between:

ASICS Gel Nimbus 27

ASICS Noosa Tri 16

Which would you recommend for my situation? Or are there any better options around ₹6–6.5K?

I’m looking for a low heel to toe drop option because I have always avoided over reliance on any gear during my training whether it be in the gym or during walking.
Will be starting running and looking for suggestions available in India. Most foreign brands do provide options but either they are not available in India or way expensive for a starter.

Hey everyone, i am a 19M and ive been running for almost a year now. I've run up to an HM in 2:10, and I run regularly. I've been looking to buy a new pair of running shoes, as my current pair (Decathlon JF190.1) has around 750 km and has a specified weekly mileage of only 20 km, so it wouldn't be the best for marathon training. Within a budget of 8k, what shoes would you recommend to train for a marathon? And it would be my only running pair without rotation, also considering I run 3 times a week, mainly easy/long runs. My main focus is long-distance running and eventually ultra marathons. I could increase my budget up to 11k and buy the Asics Novablast 5, but I was hopeful a shoe within 8k would do the work, as I don't feel like spending so much of my parents' money.
