This is not for everyone who wants instant results for every "flaw" that they supposedly have. In most cases, instant stuff doesn't work- it's like instant maggi only. You will feel instant gratification, and then get hungry again two hours later. Instead, I'm putting a guide for long term solutions that target the root cause to the most common issues I've seen on this sub.
Pigmentation on any part of the body except the private parts- firstly get checked for insulin resistance especially if you have a velvety texture to your skin along with pigmentation. If that's ruled out, the next course of action should be to reduce friction in those areas- wear shorts inside your skirts and dresses if your inner thighs are pigmented. If you write a lot, reduce that (if feasible) for your elbows. If you are very aggressive or frequent with your body hair removal, reduce it. For the private parts, some darkness is normal. If it is extremely dark, consult a gynaecologist. Glycolic acid isn't a magic cure for all, you will still have to treat the root cause even if you use glycolic acid if you want the pigmentation to not come back.
Hairfall- get your bloodwork done, see a doctor and start supplements for any deficiencies you have. Watch what you eat, incorporate more whole foods and nutritious food items. Ensure you are eating enough calories for your body. If you sweat a lot, wash your hair more frequently, don't let your hair stay dirty for too long. If you have dandruff or sebderm, treat that first. Applying hair growth serums is all secondary. Also, up to 100 strands a day is normal for hairfall. If you want to get started on minoxidil, consult a doctor.
Tanning- firstly, this is just skin whitening under a different name. If you still feel insecure because of your uneven tan maybe, apply and reapply sunscreen diligently (none of the dermaco aqualogica shit, something reliable). Ensure you cover up with scarves, jackets or gloves when you go out in the direct heat (best way to prevent tan). The only instant way to get rid of a tan is to peel off your skin. Reducing tan can be done through chemical exfoliants, provided you don't get harsh skin exposure again. If it is stubborn, or has been there for years, you will need dermatologist procedures.
Weight loss/skinny fat/toned/fat on specific areas of the body- calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight. Strength training is the only way to change your body shape. You can't spot reduce fat. The only instant or fast way to lose weight is to cut off body parts or starve yourself. Always lose weight slowly and sustainably, else you will gain it back at double speed. Also, EAT YOUR GODDAMN PROTEIN and fiber.
Acne- dermatologist. Pls. Do not attempt to self medicate with tret or adapalene or benzoyl peroxide or aziderm. If you have the occasional hormonal acne before your monthly cycles, slap on a pimple patch or drying lotion on it and call it a day. Acne is very normal and almost everyone on earth has had acne at least once in life.
Keratosis pilaris/strawberry skin - lay off the body hair removal for a bit especially if it is waxing. Apply urea based creams and body lotions and be gentle with your hair removal methods if you have to do it despite the kp. Laser hair reduction (not removal, because even laser can cause hair growth again) is the only permanent way to get rid of kp. Even once it is gone fully, you will have to continue using urea based creams on your body to keep it from coming back. I know people don't like this suggestion, but consider not removing your body hair especially if your kp is severe. The itching and bleeding and ingrowns are not worth the 3 days of smooth skin.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk, please don't comment here asking for instant or unrealistic solutions to these issues again.
