First off that blows, sorry you are in that situation. Don't be afraid to reach out to shelters and women's orgs and churches and stuff, they will have tons of local resources to help.

Is the car you are talking about living out of the same one crushed by the tree? If so, don't plan on that, it will get towed off either by insurance or property owners or government before too long if it isn't drivable. First rule of living out of your car is be prepared to drive away at any time. Also get a water filter for your kit

No I was able to get a new car. Nissan rouge. It would just be my dog and I. And yes thank you, I did try to get one but they were out of stock. I’m going camping this week just to get familiar with being out of my element. I’ve been in survival mode since I was very young, and I’m very resilient and resourceful. Thank you for your advice
