Erasmus+ semester(s) abroad Missed the deadline 😩 Erasmus alternatives?

Hi guys,
Due to being a chronic procrastinator I missed the Erasmus sign-up deadline at my uni, meaning that the earliest I could go on a semester abroad is in 12 months time. I'd really like to leave my city earlier than that though, and go and live in an international collective of students. (I only need to go back for exams)

I've heard there are long (months) ESC projects... how do those work? Are there any other alternatives you know of that are close to the Erasmus experience?

If you missed the first deadline be aware there's several more BEFORE leaving, some DURING, and some more AFTER

Ask if any spots left/podibilities of additional application. There were 2nd rounds at my uni.

Are you sure all deadlines are closed? Several deadlines for partner universities are still open for nomination from my home uni. I applied for Charles Univeristy in Prague, which is closed now, but my second choice, ELTE in Budapest, doesnt close until mid October for example

Apply! There are always people who finally don't go on Erasmus, I even got a place at the uni I wanted to go to, I applied early enough and got a place in a boring city then someone finally decided not to go and got a place in the university I really wanted to go

Oh nice! Wait does your uni let you join a waiting list for replacing people who cancel their exchanges? I don't think we have anything like that :-/

Talk to the prof in charge of the country you want to go to
