General Discussion Capcom Devs, I see you
They definitely put some effort into making her look amazing. I love that they didn't make her half naked or feel the need to have skin showing to display how beautiful see looks. I need that armor on my female Arisen and Pawn. This is S-tier BADDIE all day.

General Discussion This patch is absolutely insane...
PS5 Pro player here.
70-90 FPS in Vernworth on Balanced with RT On.
100-120 FPS in Vernworth on Performance with RT Off.
No lags/stutters in town at all. Image so much cleaner now, it's so unbelievable how MUCH BETTER it runs now. Instantly pre-ordered DLC.

General Discussion Are you jumping straight into the DA expansion on your completed save? Or Are you starting from scratch?

General Discussion You can’t be serious.
I helped so many people on this playthrough. I saved Doireann, did her tree quest. Gave her so many gifts she started blushing. Even her DAD was blushing after all that. Not even joking, he really was.
I helped Ulrika out in Melve and in Harve. She was blushing.
I rescued Margit’s husband and gave her so many gifts she started blushing.
I did Myrddin’s quest, saved his daughter. Gave her gifts too and she started blushing, as well as her grandma.
I did. All that. And who does the dragon choose?
Freaking. Flora. Flora. The girl you meet in Melve who needs money for fruit roborant. The girl I gave a few gifts to because I thought she was adorable. THATS who the dragon chooses? THATS who I have the highest affinity with?
Wow. Just wow.

General Discussion I’ve been playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 this ENTIRE TIME… Thinking Camping Kits were Consumables… I’ve been carrying 7, taking up most of my weight

General Discussion 100+ hours and just found out this.
After playing over 100 hours, i just found out, a new conversation would appear after a ceratin comments done by your pawn. When your pawn says "Arisen, I know of at least one Iocation in the vicinity that may be of interest to you. Shall I tell you more?" You should then go and talk to your pawn to see what options you have instead of commanding only.

General Discussion Silly rant, but... Is anyone annoyed by seeing nothing but joke/meme pawns...?
EVERY pawn I come across in the wilds, EVERY pawn I see in the riftstones... They are all goofy monstrosities with hilarious proportions and/or ugly faces... Gigachad grannies with beards and chipmunk voices. 4 foot tall kawaii kitties with massive hooters and rear-ends. Hunchbacks with demonic eyes, orange skin and a rainbow of odd tattoos. And worst of all, blatantly racist blackface-joke pawns, or pawns of IRL infamous people (these are the worst of all). And they have ill-fitting names like—and I quote from my previous play session—"DiaperBaby", "H1tler", "SkunkySis", and so on.
I don't mind people goofing around with character creation whatsoever. I encourage the fun and comedy of it. I just wish it wasn't 90% of the pawns out there. I see so many amazing looking pawns on this reddit; so why can't I find pawns like that in my game? Between levels 1-100, between my handful of playthroughs, and between my total of 600 hours played, it's always the meme pawns I see. Finding an actually immersive pawn is one in a hundred 😭. I just wanna be immersed. I've been traveling with only my main pawn because of this (and, to be fair, I enjoy the challenge that it brings!).
And, another point to make: more than half the pawns I find are all scantily dressed like harlots for hire... The horny factor isn't as bad as the aforementioned things, but, it still makes me roll my eyes every time.
Okay I am ready for the downvotes. But I just KNOW there are people out there, like me, who meticulously search the riftstone without end to find immersive-looking pawns...

General Discussion After 350+ hours I found out...
...that healing magic can actually damage the undead enemies. For the very first time in more than 350+ hours in the game I've overheard a dialog between my pawns that healing magic is lethal to undead.
This game never cease to amaze me.

General Discussion Dragon's Dogma 2 UPDATE 3.1 vs UPDATE 3.2 - PERFORMANCE COMPARISON
This is insane!

General Discussion The stamina update is a huge game changer
I was testing with a friend yesterday how is the new update. The eternal ferrystone has all the attention, but I was more in love with the new stamina update.
It's still used when outside of combat but it's so minimal that's barely noticeable. Sprinting around now genuinely felt fun, because you're not interrupted every 30 seconds by gasps of agony.
It feels such a small change but I think this is perhaps one of the most important updates because how it drastically affects travel.

General Discussion My god this is DD2 suppose to be when it first came out
the performance specially since the newest update i cant help smile and run around town without seeing NPC fade in into existence and it feels really smooth to play now its like the feeling of wading through mud is just gone completely
and i cant help but smile when i get my ass kicked by gore chimera at night mission it makes me feel in love with the game again (the quest appear at my home in vernworth in common quarter)
and the ability to high five pawn on command is just a good addition
6 ability slot makes mage pawn become really strong and now i can equip niche skill that otherwise i never use if i only have 4 slot
overall i am really satisfied with this and now i cant wait for the dlc to drop later !

General Discussion So, I'm guessing everybody in here will buy the DLC, huh ? What you wish to see added/improved?
ASIDE STUFF THAT HAS BEEN ALREADY CONFIRMED, I wish for :
- Option for enemy's level scaling
- Improved luxury Houses
- New mansion that's actually BIG
- The new 12 dungeons to have each a themed boss at the end (like a Litch at the end of one with spectral vibes or a drake at the end of one with lava scenery)
- The new region to be interconnected with Vermund via oxcart route and not only accessible through teleport/flying
- Hostile Forts (not limited to quest), given the presence of a new humanoid enemy faction.
I'm not too confident to see some of these implemented, but as recently proven, Hope never dies.

General Discussion This game is so incredibly close to a perfect game, but just… misses and falls flat.
I really enjoy this game but it just… misses the mark. It’s REALLY good in certain aspects, but really bad in others. Some things are INCREDIBLY immersive, but other things completely break immersion. Character creation is amazing, but armor/clothing customization is severely lacking.
This game needs significant updates but the foundation is amazing. BUILD OFF OF IT!! Seriously, many of the small details are fantastic. I can see the diamond in the rough. Devs, please, give it the polish it needs.
This game’s potential could rival Skyrim and other fantasy games if it got the attention and care it deserves.

General Discussion New Quest added with September 1st update (performance is insane now, by the way)
I have never seen this before, and it's a new quest called "'Ware the Corrupted Beasts."
This is new right?

General Discussion When hiring pawns: What makes you instantly reject a hire?
Just curious what other people prioritize about the pawns you hire?
Personally I don't hire pawns that have only 4 skills equipped, and prefer when a pawn quest is set or the pawn is trained in more than one vocation.
I also don't hire pawns that have no pants on cause what do you mean I gotta buy you some pants first, girl?

General Discussion The Stargazer & The Minotaur.
For my 1st new save slot and DLC , I started a brand new game as an Arisen Mage and Warrior Pawn.
My arisen is a a humble Astrologer, bent-back, frail and wizened,he reads the stars and summons the powers of the cosmos to heal or harm.
He is fiercely protected by a gigantic, raging beast known only as the Minotaur. His rage is only tempered by his devotion to the scholar.
Together, this unlikely duo i is forging a.new legend across the lands.
Weaving a tale of. Might and Magic, of shimmering stardust and savage strength.
Let me know your thoughts!

General Discussion Do not defend the fact that it's possible to pay for cheat codes
It does not matter if the microtransaction content is farmable, it's a single player game and it does not belong here. Imagine if you could pay to get extra lives in Mario games? Or pay for X amount of gold in Skyrim? How about paying to receive upgrade materials in Elden Ring?
The argument of "it's for those who have more money than sense" means you're defending the fact that it's inherently predatory, as it's literally taking advantage of those who are too financially inept to realize how much of a terrible deal it is.
To those who remember gaming prior to the 2010s, y'all remember cheat codes? The ability to just do whatever you want, whenever you want because it's your game that you've already paid money for. You want infinite money? Sure thing. You want to spawn in a helicopter? You got it buddy. You want a weapon that kills every enemy in one hit? Go wild.
Those days are behind us, and it will only continue to get worse if you keep defending the fact it is possible to pay for something that was entirely free once upon a time. It serves no purpose but corporate greed, and I'm really doubtful you could convince me otherwise, but I'm not against healthy discussion.
I'm not saying you guys defending the game need to start making an active stand against microtransactions, but please get some dignity and stop defending corporate greed for a company that could not care less about you, me or anything but their own bottom line.

General Discussion Anyone else genuinely care for their pawn?
This is my pawn Fae. The weirdest thing is happening where im starting to genuinely care about her in fights being worried and wanting to tell her its okay when she apologises for falling into a river and when she got that face scar from the first act soft end i was so pissed at everything that I just told her to wait and fought a ton of stuff solo to get anger out while travelling north. She feels like this souless childlike entity that I created and need to protect and its weirdly true irl also (not so much the protect part but shes a souless digital representation of an entity that is separate from the components she is made from due to my hand in her creation). This is possibly the most emotion a game has caused me to feel and im oft unemotive. The only other game i can think of coming close to this or the same level as this is rdr2. I'm curious to hear if anyone is having a similar experience or a very different one.
Also sorry if this is weird. TL;DR see title
