Lore "Tell is, there's a realm entirely populated by Pawns"
Other than any other game I know, they drop some pretty heavy stuff on us with those loading screen tips, which imo more often than not point to really interesting lore bits or *actual* secrets in the game.
What is your most "uh what" loading screen tease you remember?

General Discussion New player and a griffon destroyed the ox cart in the get a message to melve quest
Omg did that start a series of things. I decided to do what this reddit suggest and adventure to melve instead of ferrystoning, and boy was that the right choice. WE BALLED we got 2foot fly kicked by and ogre outta nowhere at night (I didn’t know what it was bc it was the first encounter) went down some caves and killed lizards and another ogre. Had a cyclops cutscene. Then as I left the cave closer to melve, there it was, a Minotaur sitting on a rock under a waterfall.
My god I didn’t think I’d love this game that much, but wow I really was missing out for the last 2 years.
Also playing a thief, so not sure which vocation I’ll do next.
If you read this, thanks! Just wanted to share my small experience on when I realise this game was a great game.

Game Help Getting the Forbidden Lab Researchers Clothes.
I think might have found an easier way, so far I haven't seen anyone else mention it. Ok so today after 2 years of playing I learned about the Researcher Robes and did the method on trying to get them.
Now I had already unlocked Higgs Tavern without listening to the Researchers talk about Emerich. Well I tried to trigger the bar raid and nothing happened. Turns out the guard for the cutscene had died.
I revived him and nothing happened. So when I went to try a third time buying the Newt Liquor, I also bought all the rotten meat. That triggered a cutscene with the bar tender complementing my taste on how to actually enjoy Newt Liquor. He revealed about buying the tails from Emerich. I waited for nighttime and sure enough he was there.
I did this again with another Arisen, I bought the Newt Liquor and rotten meat and again the cutscene triggered. This method is alot easier.

General Discussion Yet another photodump
I wish I was a bit better at capturing other things within the game, might work on getting photos in battles and see what I can do with that. Can be a bit tricky though because of how chaotic it can be, especially when your dear pawn is a fighter.
Maybe after I get a couple of those that I'm proud of, I can finally say to myself that I'm not half bad at this photomode shtick! Just maybe. I kinda like being a one trick pony with my photos though.
Anyway I hope you like these, the 1st, 3rd and 7th are my favourites of the bunch.
Oh and hire Aurellia too if you'd like. Her code is S8MCWD1YUOI5 on PSN. Just friend me if you wanna waive the fee, I don't mind.
Stay safe and be well Arisens and Heart Havers. Dark Arisen 2 is only 4 days away, wouldn't want to miss it!

Pawn for Hire Sypha the Thief (PC)
Straightforward Guardian Thief, lvl 100
Pawn ID: LT5Z53QS46QI (PC)
Badge hunting still ongoing, but I took some time from it to focus on getting level 100 (capped the xp until DLC releases). We'll see whether or not it will be too much for the DLC, but if DD1 was anything to go by, it will be alright.

General Discussion Since you can have different save slots
Can I start a new save. And gear it up from the main save? Like with end game gear and such? Can you hire your own pawns?

Spoiler Swimming possible in the next game lore ?
Does killing the Brine in this game means if there is a next game that we will be able to swim and use boats ? especially since the old dragonforged from melve or harve (forgot which of the two he resides in) is seen in post credit using a boat to sail the ocean ?
Was that capcom plan all along or something ? or am i tripping/mistaken on this ? because with no brine, there is no reason to not have us be able to swim lore wise tbh.
also, do you guys think there will be another dragon's dogma after this one ? i haven't looked at the DD2 sales figures in a while and I am not sure if capcom will want to make another game using that franchise, especially now that the game's direction is gone tbh.
Do you guys think they'll make another DD game later down the road or will they shelve it forever after the expansion ?

Game Help "Unable to find..." add ons keeps popping up when I load
I know they were getting rid of all the extras (although I expected them to just become free, rather than completely deleting them all) but now whenever I load up it says "Unable to find" for every single one.
Does anyone know how to get it to stop?

Game Help What does the Mage's enchantments does to a magic weapon
What does enchanting a weapon with one of the Enchantment spells of a Mage do ?
does it increase the magic damage ?
does it change the element of my weapon and if so does it only change the magic portion ? or does it only change the physical portion to be of the same element as the enchantment spell ?
what happens if you use double enchant ?
does the enchantments spell give any increased magic stats to my weapon or if my weapon has a high magic stats already does it actually decrease it ?
I want to know !
also how is the pawn ai if you have multiple enchant spell ? say i use all 4 enchant spell to deal with enemies weaknesses and then use that high celerity and the spell that increase stamina Regen by a tons, does the pawn ai knows what enchant spell to select to target the enemy's weakness ? and what happens if the fight has multiple enemies with multiple weaknesses, does the pawn ai knows to use the enchant spell that is stronger against whatever i am attacking ? would it switch to the correct element if i switch target ? etc.
I'm just curious to know all this tbh.
so if anyone got answers you can reply down below please.

General Discussion DLC and beyond. Reviving my rant, a comprehensive rant.
First thing first, HELL yeah there's a DLC. After years of complete silence, I think all of us can agree that we're happy for this DLC.
So with this new Norgan region. I have some hopes that some things from my original rant and some more are improved (in my opinion).
Okay now for the rant.
Enemy types, Norgan is introducing new types of enemies and variants. This is amazing as when comparing the types of enemies in OG DDDA, there was so many interesting ones that I would love to see make a return. Hydras, living armors and death. Death had me absolutely terrified to face, pre planning, stocking up and actually using consumables. Besides that I definitely wish there was something "human" like vampires or "faux" pawns that can steal a party's spot to try and kill the Arisen (just a thought).
Warfarer, warfarer was definitely fixed with more skill slots
- Fast travel was made easier too, more permanent port crystals, mid stops on oxcart and of course Eternal Ferrystone
- Character builds (physically), still don't mean much. Taller and light is just generally better, but impact is minimal at best.
- World building, I still think there needs to be good side and unimportant stories. There's some but I would LOVE unofficial or hidden stories that require some actual reading of random diaries and books around the world. Maybe some cool reward or maybe just the story is reward enough.
For example, maybe Vernworth has a serial killer that you can follow a trail through reading books, they don't show up as a quest but can keep track in "history". Maybe it gives you a skill or cool mask or something. Another example would be helping out the Gracious Hand that maybe the slums "build up". Something would change the area, physically. Idk
Unmoored world. There is still so much potential there but with Dark Arisen coming out I'm hoping they put it all there.
Can we cook fish? Because why not?
We need a bestiary, that's it
Logistician, needs recipes to follow and ingredients to let be. I know tons of people don't like it because they combine items they were trying to ripen.
Grimoires / consumables, it could just be me but I legit don't use them. I just keep a mage/sorcerer in party so then I just don't use them. I feel like they need to have some sort of incentive to use them or at least be able to quick slot them to make them easier to use (regarding grimoires). I just don't use heals, after warfarer I just keep a staff to heal.
Elements, kinda wish different damage types mattered. After a certain point, poison, freeze and lightning just didn't matter. And the frequency of encounters with them just didn't really feel like there was difference. Magma rattlers/poison saurians just really didn't matter. Petrification, besides Medusa I don't think I worried about it.
Also Torpor, I miss it. I definitely wish we had types like these.
- I hope the rumors of Transmog is really. I always rock the corset cause it's honestly the one of the more balanced equipment and lightest. But yes I see the issue, I love other armors and I want to bring the stats but I do like the Magick Archer/spearhand armors.
Anyways those are my thoughts.
Still a great game and a game I will always recommend it.

General Discussion Do we have more Infos about hardmode and if its releasing on dlc release ?
All I can find about hardmode is that they working on it but no talk about when and what it is.
But I saw people talk about they confirmed more Infos about it but I don't really find them ?
Do we know what hardmode will change all ? Because some settinga could maybe more annoying than fun for me and than I rather play with difficulty mods.
And do we have confirmation it releases on the dlc date? Because all I can find is the "we wanna do a hardmode" posts.
