I have been trying for months to get a job and I swear I’ve applied to anywhere I can already. Anyone I’ve talked to has basically just said I have to ‘know people’ but the problem is I very much do not. So does anyone here know where I could actually get a job? I’m 20, and don’t have a license or a car, but I have restaurant, sales, receptionist, and cashier experience.

We live in south Denton so anywhere around here is worth a drive really. Do venues have props or do I need to being my own?

I want to find my little pony cards, and maybe some Pokémon but I’m not holding out hope on that one.

Many of.his claims are misleading or false. He is right that poverty is at an all time.low, but wrong on lower gas prices, record employment, tariff-driven manufacturing boom, "worst first" deportation, etc, etc
TL,DR: Trump lies so much his dog won't fetch for him anymore
Last night i came across a cat colony that hangs around my
apartment complex. I am having a hard time finding any
orgs in the area that can help with TNR. I really want to
make sure these cats are safe and taken care of. I also want
to be safe my self and I have no experience with trapping a
cat and taking them in to the shelter. I did purchase treats
and set out some. If anyone knows how to work with a cat
colony please let me know !!

I’ve already been to Hobby Lobby, and they have a bare bones selection, as well as the Hobby Toen in Lewisville.

Is that an oxymoron? I love pizza. My stomach no longer tolerates dairy. Is there anywhere in town that makes a dairy/lactose free option?

Hi! I haven’t gotten a proper haircut since moving here for college and am in desperate need of one. I’ve always been nervous about some hairdressers messing up my hair/not truly knowing what to do with it, so I was wondering if anyone had any trusted ones they could recommend. Thank you!

Anyone know who the trio was singing this weekend, one was the bride of Frankenstein and one was a goth uso girl with victory curls. I cant remember the 3rd. They're voices were absolutely beautiful though.

My fiance and I are getting married next October in Aubrey and are planning a Welcome Party the night before instead of a rehearsal party since we have a lot of out of town guests.
We are looking for a space in or near Denton that would be able to hold 50ish people for this kind of event. We also want something that is more casual so people can come and go rather than a sit-down restaurant. The hard part is finding someone who will do it the week of Halloween :')
LSA has declined due to the holiday, so we assume that everyone else on the square is in the same boat.
Sunago Bell was going to charge us $5000 just to rent the space so that was a no!
Any other recommendations would be great! TIA!

Is there anyway in Denton that helps with rental assistance? I have until the 10th before they file and they’ll give me until the court date to pay but it’s going to be a struggle. I recently became a single mom and am trying to find a better job and somewhere cheaper to live but my lease isn’t up until December 31st.

I’ve seen at least 4 this morning and wondering if there’s an air show or just training going on?
Edit: they were moving west towards KDTO

Hey Denton! I'm putting together a small weekly meetup for people who want to make friends here. It's not a big mixer: it's a group of 6 or 7 people who meet once a week for four weeks, so you actually get to know each other instead of meeting someone once and never seeing them again.
If fewer than 6 people in Denton sign up, I'll tell you before anyone pays.
Sign up here (2-minute form): https://seirea.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=rdenton
I'm Acram, and I'm running this first round myself. Happy to answer anything in the comments.

I like to save my old tickets, and the ones now that are just receipt paper are ugly and take up so much space in my ticket book. I know Alamo and Cinemark stopped doing them but does anyone know of another theater that still does?

Howdy!
I’m currently the proud owner of a remodeled shed with a AC window unit currently installed in it. I want to upgrade to a mini split unit, but I’m having trouble finding a professional to provide the install services. So far many of the businesses around I’ve contacted will only install mini split units that they are warranty certified for. Im just looking for someone with the proper tools and experience working with hvac piping to do the install on a Della model I can source.
Anyone one know of a small business or someone who takes small projects on?

Looking for a photographer for a small wedding in Dallas on May 30, 2027. I’m based in Denton and am very open to UNT/TWU photography students, newer photographers, concert photographers, portrait/boudoir photographers, or anyone with a strong artistic eye.
I’m NOT looking for the typical bright/airy wedding style. The vibe is dark, romantic, old-world, moody, candlelit, historic-house, a little medieval/gothic without being Halloween-y. I love deep shadows, natural skin tones, interesting composition, movement, grain, and some direct-flash style photos.
We’re on a tight budget, so I’m hoping to find someone newer or building their portfolio. Around 4–5 hours of coverage would probably be enough. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please drop an Instagram/portfolio and pricing if available!
