Recommendations Reading the Lucifer/Sandman comics as a beginner

Hey guys, as the title says, I want to start reading the Lucifer and Sandman comics, but I want to read them in chronological order, from their origin story all the way to their conclusion.

I’ve seen a lot of people mention this dynamic being one of the best in DC and everybody says its the peak of DC/Vertigo comics.

Watched a couple of videos/edits and immediately fell in love with that narrative

Can someone kindly show me the order on how to read them?

Goes without saying, but no spoilers pls!

Thanks in advance!

Seems like you could prob read Sandman and then Lucifer. Start at Volume 1.

Lucifer leaves hell after vol4 of sandman, he won't be relevant to it till vol 9

So you could just read till vol 8 ND then move to lucifer till he owns a bar, back to sandman then back to lucifer

Or read the lucifer stuff after vol 4 of sandman, doesn't matter too much as he won't do much in sandman post vol 4, more like cameos

So read Lucifer until he leaves hell, jump in Sandman until 9, hop in on lucifer again? Confused haha

No no start with sandman and after vol 4 you can jump to lucifer or you continue till vol 8,as he won't appear in sandman till vol 9

Generally you can also just tlread all of sandman and then lucifer as his series does not have a big impact on sandman

Was perhaps poorly worded

No no, i kinda misunderstood, but thank you very much. Will probably read Sandman and then Lucifer, seems easier that way since I want to buy some physical copies as well. Thanks

Sure, enjoy also funfact vol 2 of sandman overlaps with vol 4 of hellblazer (nothing important but Easter eggs between the series)

Dawg... release order. It's not at all difficult.
