It‘s stunningly beautiful. And yet the eye gets drawn to that big fat nothing in the middle of the plate.

Especially on a black plate. Better to build the presentation from the middle out

It’s beautiful, but looks a bit large for a small plate. You could reduce the portion and plate in a crescent with the tip of a tentacle sticking out at one end of the crescent

This is a great way to get garde manger to hate your guts.

Esta muy linda la presentación 💪🏻💪🏻 y el match con los colores, sigue asi, se nota que tienes idea de la cocina y los sabores, no te faltará mucho para subir de rango en la cocina 🫵🏻💙

If there isn’t a sauce being poured in that space, this is a wholly silly presentation.

Agreed. A Calabrian chili sauce would be fantastic with this octopus dish

legit, made a frame, might as well use it. a White sauce split with a green oil.

lovely looking dish, it's crying for a pale sauce to be poured in. Also, can you do this quickly during service? if you get ten on are you gunna cry?

Personally I’d add a few more filters. Really get those colours saturated

Love the plating and details. But I think a white plate would work better here.

Gorgeous!!! This is incredibly picturesque and I would smash all day, but I agree with another commenter that the portion seems a bit large for an appetizer. Is it meant to be shared, or is it just like a home proportion (because i definitely get serving people vs serving meself lol)?

Looks a bit big for a portion for an appetiser

That's some crazy saturation , the green looks far too vivid. All the other colours are blown out. Filters ruin it.

How many minutes did it take to plate that?? Beautiful but not a functional restaurant dish. There is food photography and then there's real life in a working kitchen
