Foraging Slyvern || 4-Mana 2/4 || Rare Druid Minion

Taunt. Deathrattle: Draw cards equal to this minion's Attack.

budget wise, seems ok? 2 mana 2/4 plus 2 mana draw 2 (albeit delayed)? You can buff it after it's played as well, it doesn't have to be handbuffed. I suppose you could get Kaldorei Priestessed

u/Diosdepatronis 11d ago

The fact that this has taunt makes this absolutely nuts with the handbuff spell. You won't ever run out of stuff.

This is so bad unless you draw the 2 mana spell, not worth it.

i disagree, token druid style can refill with this protecting other tokens, it is under 3 attack to utilise established token buffs. token druid is probably not going to be viable, but this helps to refill a hand after attempting to fill a board.

Efflorescence || 2-Mana || Common Druid Spell

Draw a different spell. If it's a Nature spell, it casts twice.

Nature

u/sneakyxxrocket 11d ago

This card is just in a waiting room for whenever a ramp spell gets printed or if nurish/wild growth gets brought back to core.

u/blanquettedetigre 11d ago

This has crazy good picks and you could just run like 6 payoff spells. The big problem I'm seeing with this card is that I don't wanna draw Innervate nor Waveshaping. But I want them in every druid. Idk

u/Monk-Ey 11d ago

Wild has Treants and Mecha'thun as incredibly Nature-dense decks: the latter can afford a 2-mana "do not affect the board", but the former probably not.

Other Druid decks include too much Arcane/untagged spells to reliably hit a double: "2 mana draw a different spell" isn't bad, but it feels like a card #29-30/39-40 rather than anything in a top 10.

u/Bearshoes5 11d ago

Am I taking crazy pills? [[Lifebloom]] and [[Ward of Earth]] are nature spells and I feel like it's viable for them to be the only nature spells in your deck.

2

u/LarryMomentz 11d ago

not gonna lie, I was thinking more on stuff like Heartroot and especially Oaken Summons, can pull stuff like Golem/Slyvern out of the deck and give you 12 Armor on top of it

3

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

And Mr. Greed wants to survive until turn 9 for lifebloom without other spells how exactly?

Ward of earth is worse then playing for scullery even when doubled as well.

-2

u/happynoodledays 11d ago

turn 1 or 2 lifebloom wins enough games to make this a problem card for first week

1

u/mr_seggs 10d ago

I think the card makes it so the spell will cast a second time when played, not casting on the spot.

Pretty awkward for standard since the attack Druid spells are not nature, but obviously has insane potential if we build a different deck around it.

Strong synergy with aggro since it works with the shatter card, horn of plenty, and forest’s gift.

outside of aggro a lot of it seems really greedy due to having to cut the attack cards, but maybe a scam deck with a double innervate could work.

10

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Titan Sized || 2-Mana || Rare Druid Spell

Draw a minion. Give Beasts in your hand +2/+2.

7

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

There are only 2 handbuff cards in this set and this is one of them so you’re incredibly reliant on this.

I think this still gets ran to OTK with the gain attack equal to this minion’s attack card, but you don’t run the rest of the synergy.

2

u/Rhaps0dy 11d ago

Good thoughts. You're also gonna get a buffed spiderling now and then!

6

u/Monk-Ey 11d ago

Generic minion drawing for 2 mana sounds like it can get up to shenanigans in Wild: Pendant of Earth already exists to give it competition, but 1 mana does make a difference. Perhaps Mecha'thun would appreciate the redundancy?

u/TheRealGZZZ 11d ago

Worse afforestation is unplayable.

9

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Aetherial Kindling || 3-Mana || Rare Druid Spell

Deal 3 damage. Summon a random 3-Cost minion.

Arcane

u/sneakyxxrocket 11d ago

“Quick guys we need one more card to get 10 for this expansion”

5

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

It’s the shaman card from great dark beyond except no asteroids in trade for a better stat line on average.

Seems great especially since it can go face.

7

u/Rhaps0dy 11d ago

[[Serpentshrine portal]] except the overload and spell tag. Not really sure if its playable in the big 26.

7

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Freya, Emerald Architech || 6-Mana 4/6 || Legendary Druid Minion

Battlecry: Double the stats of all Beasts in your hand and deck.

13

u/Diosdepatronis 11d ago

If you can ramp into that and not die whîle doing so, this is actually good. Your deck becomes filled to the brim with huge stuff. Though i was the kind of guy who desperately tried to make blackrocknroll viable and this seems a bit similar to it... it's a big + that it works with your hand though.

3

u/Glarbleglorbo 10d ago

Blackrock sucked because you still had to draw the minions and it came with no tempo

buffing hand and coming with a minion is huge since you don’t have to invest mana into drawing the minions, warrior also had almost no minion tutor.

Not sure the deck works out because it’s still greedy, but it’s a pretty unfair comparison.

1

u/happynoodledays 11d ago

Kaldori Cultivator turn 2, contingency turn 3, ramp and play this card, then lose to no board presence.

-1

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

Not that much tempo loss for this effect, makes your seismopods a better win conditon, seems great for a control deck if it can survive.

8

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Seeker of Prey || 7-Mana 4/8 || Rare Neutral Minion

Elusive. After this takes damage, destroy a random enemy minion.

Beast

9

u/Cryten0 11d ago

Oh interesting, useless against agro but could result in some quality removals. Still why waste time damaging your own minion when you can just remove your opponents stuff.

3

u/prodandimitrow 11d ago

There were metas where warrior was making a living on damaging its own minions.

6

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

Assemble and random summon fodder

1

u/Cyphka 10d ago

I’m not sure if it’s strong enough to be run on its own, but this card is incredibly annoying. This thing can ruin games if randomly summoned.

7

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Curious Grimlynx || 5-Mana 2/5 || Epic Druid Minion

Taunt. Battlecry: Summon a 5/2 Beast with Rush. (It has the opposite stats of this minion!)

u/Goldendragon55 11d ago

Reasonable at base, which is the biggest boon for cards like this. The buffing opportunities are limited, a total of like 3 cards in a 30 card deck. Having these cards be good enough at base is what really matters.

6

u/Lafantasie 11d ago

7/7 of stats on two bodies with one rush for 5 even not considering the buff synergy is pretty damn good.

Not sure if it’ll be strong enough to survive whatever the next meta will be but this isn’t a completely dead card and I wouldn’t be upset to discover it.

1

u/Diosdepatronis 11d ago

This is pretty good for a 5 drop but i feel like i need a 5 drop to be actually crazy to reasonably run it.

1

u/yatcho 10d ago

Really good stabilizing minion if you've just spent 2 turns ramping

-6

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

Again, really bad unless you draw the 2 mana spell.

Feels like Druid has more consistent stabilisation/control tools in the midgame than this.

9

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Primordial Bear || 3-Mana 2/3 || Common Druid Minion

Battlecry: Give your hero this minion's Attack this turn.

Beast

12

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

Great slot in for the attack Druid package, often find turn 3 to be awkward if I don’t have staff

Obviously great to double too but that’s a whole different kind of deck

6

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Stewart of the Vale || 2-Mana 2/3 || Common Druid Minion

Battlecry: Assemble a Beast.

15

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

I mean it’s good and well started, but like you saw in the video you can just get a 9 mana card and be screwed over.

Assemble is a mechanic that is impossible to evaluate.

2

u/Cryten0 11d ago

Yeah assemble is a discover with only 1 choice, so you have no flexibility on base cost.

5

u/EvilDave219 11d ago

Power Tiger || 6-Mana 6/6 || Common Neutral Minion

At the start of EVERY player's turn, attack a random enemy.

Ngl the dev that argued this card was constructed worthy tilted me a bit

5

u/Monk-Ey 11d ago

The interesting thing compared to something like Briarspawn Drake is that this is markedly cheaper and, much more critically, has tags that are much easier to work with, especially Beast: I doubt it'll make the cut in any serious deck, but at least it makes for an interesting card to meme around with in a dedicated deck.

6

u/Traveevart 11d ago

Never getting actually put in your deck, especially when its job is basically always done better by Briarspawn Drake, but I do think this is one of the stronger potential pulls off of Soothsayer.

2

u/Diosdepatronis 11d ago

Is 6 mana that expansive? I personally do like that as a finisher for a midrangy aggro deck, especially if you have ways to buff it. It's a pseudo charge that gains windfury if you're dominating the board. + the tribes makes this a potential enabler for many things eventually.

3

u/Glarbleglorbo 10d ago

6 mana is wickerfang’s cost.

2

u/Glarbleglorbo 11d ago

Assemble fodder

The Druid minion that gives you attack costs half as much btw, so no comment on why it has this statline and manacost which could be altered even if you make the card with only assemble in mind.

1

u/Cryten0 11d ago

Theoretically for a late game buff deck. Realistically not enough by itself and too slow and needing too much setup for a end game.

1

u/happynoodledays 11d ago

Does all the beast support bring imbue hunter to the table?
