TL;DR: Coinbase now offers access to IPO allocations for retail traders in the U.S. You will be able to request allocations directly in the Coinbase app. IPOs are offered via Coinbase Capital Markets. This is the next step in growing the Everything Exchange as a trusted platform to trade any asset at any stage of its lifecycle.

PANIC - The Coinbase Account Is GONE!

Day 1

Me: "I'll change my email address to reflect my new business."

Several days later

Me: "Interesting, I've been signed out of Coinbase. Maybe it's still logged in on my phone." Nope.

The next day

Me: "Let me request a new password!" No joy. Panic.

Me, to myself: "I'll check again tomorrow. If someone's stolen my Coinbase crypto, so be it."

My wife: "What do you mean you lost all of your Coinbase crypto?"

Today

Me: "Oh. Let me try the new email address."

Whew. My crypto is all here.

Lesson: Let it be, Let it be! If it's not broken, don't fix things.

Note: I keep the majority of my crypto in a cold wallet.

Case #27583948, Urgent data error-correction request for FAST-DS 2026

I had a coinbase account at one point which one day got deleted by them,

now regarding that account, I'm having to submit it's details in india's Foreign Assets Small Taxpayers - Disclosure Scheme 2026 (FAST-DS 2026)

since there are DPDPA provisions similar to what the rest of the world has, I sent an email to dpo@coinbase.com requesting my statements of my now liquidated and closed account, to which they responded in 4 days total, but with one flaw

there is an error in the local currency conversion in a couple of my transactions which has made the statement unsuitable for tax submission & compliance purposes

and since these documents are necessary for my compliance filing under this scheme which carries strict non-negotiable deadlines and penalties for failure

I therefore have to request a concern officer at coinbase look at my case and urgently do the needful as I also have to attend multiple medical emergencies of my loved ones as I do this compliance work

please do the needful

Coinbase new maintanence lately made my 3k% gone

I had sui priced at 0.7x.. and yes i leveraged at x50 because it was good time. Suddenly there was maintenance for coinbase, sui x50 was changed to x25. i dont see no warning on this

Coinbase also changed my avg entry from 0.7 to 1.14 (which was the price on maintenance day). In other words they forced me to rebuy at the new entry.

BUT! Now sui is now priced 1.19 and my portfolio tab shows im red -103%. my avg entry has already changed to 1.14 by coinbase themselves. so how can 1.19 be red?

How. What is going on. I have been investing since 2015 with coinbase. So disappointing.

Account got hacked

Hey guys, just wanted to share my current experience and also curious to see if this has happened to anyone else, and if so, what they did.

This morning around 11:50am I got a text from coinbase asking for my 2FA password, as well as a text from my Sofi High Yield account asking for my 2FA password.

I didn't catch any of this until 1:30PM when I got out of my work meeting, but I noticed on my coinbase account $900 of ETH was purchased, and they tried 4 different transactions of about $1000 for other ETH, and BTC purchases that were declined by my bank.

The $900 of ETH that was successfully purchased was sent to the exact same wallet (created today according to etherscan) in 5 separate transactions.

I have since froze my bank account, locked my cards, and coinbase is doing an investigation.

I then checked my email address and it looks like coinbase was blocked in my email, so all of those purchase/send notifications ended up in my SPAM inbox, even though I was getting my regular coinbase emails yesterday no problem.

How were they able to log into my coinbase account without my 2FA code from my text? I checked my account login history on my sofi and it seems like they werent able to successfully log into there.

Shoutout to CB customer support

Had an issue where a SimpleSwap transaction deducted USDC from my CoinBase wallet but I never received the transactional currency. SimpleSwap sent a refund to the custodial address that the USDC was sent from. Now, I'm not some blockchain expert, but I'm pretty sure the way custodial addresses work on CB means that just because you send crypto from a custodial address, does not mean you will receive crypto in your account that is sent back to that same custodial address. So my USDC ended up in CoinBase limbo. Thankfully, SimpleSwap was able to provide the refund transaction and CB was able to confirm the receiving address was theirs, and credited my account back with the exact amount of USDC from the initial swap.

The issue started on Friday and was resolved by Monday. u/coinbasesupport was also extremely responsive and helpful throughout, even on weekends.

But I've learned my lesson about custodial wallets, from now on I will be sending CB to my own wallets and swapping smaller amounts first for confirmation. And let this be a lesson to anyone who swaps direct from their CB account, send your CB crypto to a non-custodial wallet first!

Anyway, thanks again to CB customer support, those guys are great.

Dividends in the UK

I've bought a few stocks and can see that I've received dividends but I can't see where the cash has gone. It's not in my cash wallet, USDC or been reinvested.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Repayment with Bitcoin

Has anyone else gotten hit with this recently? I see this listed twice under my transactions on 10/1/26. I received an email from Coinbase that states the following:

You earned a payout from a funding bonus offer. We wanted to let you know that because of recent changes to your account, your bonus payout amount has been adjusted. This could be a result of a number of reasons such as assets being moved off of Coinbase or a change to your Coinbase One membership. These bonus payouts are made based on keeping your qualifying net inflows on Coinbase while maintaining your Coinbase One membership through the duration of the holding period.

However, I have not made any withdrawals or moved anything in a while. My Coinbase One membership has been active. I chatted with Coinbase support for two hours and they escalated the issue since they couldn't determine why this happened and said I should receive an update on my case in approximately 7 days.

I cant set up an account it forces me into Coinbase Wallet

Each time I login and takes me to the step to verify ID, it sends me to download the wallet, tried using the Coinbase app to do it, it says me to use the Wallet app instead due my country "requiring a different app"

Which is insane because, as far as I know, the wallet doesnt have offramp and I have to login to the main site anyway, which I cant do.

Coinbase Wallet - Sell $20K USDC base to USDC polygon, never received?

Hi guys, I am lost as to what's going on.

  1. I have the latest version of the coinbase wallet app (not coinbase app, the self custody wallet app)
  2. I used their trade function to sell (basically a swap). $20,000 USDC on the base network to $19,999 USDC on the polygon network. Everything is verified beforehand those are the right coins etc..
  3. I click sell then confirm, $20k was removed from my USDC base, in the transaction it says "Bridged out" from network Base to network polygon, Status = Complete.

But I never received the ~$20k in USDC polygon? It's been 15 mins and still nothing. On the block explorer everything seem to say success/complete. Anyone know what's going on?

EDIT: I just did another experiment, exact same steps but tested with $2, and received $2 in USDC polygon almost instantly, but the $20k USDC polygon from previous transaction is still nowhere to be found?

EDIT2: I received the 20K in USDC polygon, for anyone else panicking in the future this is the conclusion:

  1. For small amounts <$1000, when you swap from USDC base to USDC polygon (and I assume any other network USDC), the transfer is near instant.
  2. For large amounts, in my case >$5000, the sold USDC will be taken from your account immediately, but the receive USDC will NOT be sent to you until 20-40 minutes later. This is not a one time issue, I actually went back to my old transactions from 6+ months ago, looking for the same "bridge out" trades, and sure enough every single one of them >$5000 are a delay of 20-30 minutes. I just didn't pay too much attention and by the time I checked later everything was ok.

Utter shit design like most things with this wallet, but now you know. So don't panic just wait.

Coinbase being noncooperative

My husband died in 2024 and had a Coinbase account. I'm the Executor of his estate and his only beneficiary. I made a Coinbase account, filled out the Executor Services Form, and waited to receive an email from them. I'm not good with technology so I missed the first few emails and my case was closed which I understand. With the help of my attorney I opened another case through the Executor Services Form and when they emailed me I completed ID verification and when I responded to Coinbase's email saying that the ID verification was complete, I was told the case was closed again with no reason as to why. Two weeks ago, I got on their Support Chat and asked for help with the situation and was told that my case was actually still open, which confused me because the email said it was closed. I asked to talk to someone on the Estate team so I could get some more information about where the process was at and was told the Chat would be transitioned to email so I could chat with someone on the estate team about it and to expect an email shortly. I never received an email. Yesterday I went to my attorney's office for help because I still had not received an email from Coinbase and the Court needs the probate process to continue. We called Customer Service and were told we were being transferred to a Legal Team but got hung up on. We then called again and were told to send an email to [support@coinbase.com](mailto:support@coinbase.com) which we did, but the response email said that that email address doesn't receive emails, and got hung up on again while trying to ask a question. We then called again, and asked to speak to the Legal Team that had been mentioned on the previous phone call and were again hung up on. We submitted a Complaint because we didn't know what else to do, my attorney is wanting to sue for the money in the account since it seems we can't have any proper communication with Coinbase about how to get the money and the Probate Court has deadlines that we can't meet due to this.

Coinbase stealing funds

My friend stupidly sent USDC back to the address I had sent from.

Coinbase is now claiming there’s nothing they can do even though it’s their wallet. Support won’t even investigate.

Do you feel your coinbase app very slow?

Not sure why but the app is always unresponsive during high transactions. I have to kill and restart the app, sometimes it can work but sometimes not.

Is there anything I can do to make it smoother?

I'm using the latest version on iPhone 14 Pro, other apps are all working good.

Coinbase refund not possible?

A few days ago I tried swapping some crypto using SimpleSwap. I bought USDC on Coinbase, set up the exchange on SimpleSwap, the USDC funds were deducted from my CoinBase account but the XMR was never received.

I reached out to SimpleSwap and they said the best they could do was refund the USDC and asked for a wallet address, which I provided. However, when they sent the basescan.org ledger of the refund it shows they sent the USDC to the Coinbase address that was used to initiate the swap, instead of the wallet address I provided them. This means the money was refunded to some Coinbase address rather than me personally.

I called Coinbase and even after giving them details like transaction IDs payment history and recipient addresses they said there's nothing they can do since the transaction is finalized. I'm also reaching out to Simple Swap CS again since I feel like this is a mess because they sent the USDC to a different address to the one I told them to send it to.

What do you all think? Am I just screwed here?

Accidentally gave someone the USDC contract address on Base can the funds be recovered?

After a new app update, I was trying to receive USDC on the Base network. I copied an address from the USDC asset page, thinking it was my receiving address, and gave it to the sender.

The sender says they already sent the USDC to that address.

I later realized that the address I copied appears to be the USDC contract address on Base, not my personal wallet address.

Is there any way to recover the funds if the transaction was successful?
