General Discussion Recurring thrush
Hopefully someone can help me or has been through something similar 🤞
I’ve been dealing with recurrent thrush/candida and I’ve now been prescribed the 6-month treatment with fluconazole . initially treating the infection and then taking a tablet once a week for 6 months.
My partner and I want to start trying to conceive, so I specifically asked my doctor whether it was safe to take fluconazole while trying. She told me to continue taking it and then stop once I find out I’m pregnant.
Does this sound correct? Has anyone else been given this advice while trying to conceive?
I’m honestly getting so frustrated with doctors and all the confusing information. 😩 I’ve booked in with Bendigo Community Health to hopefully get some clearer advice, but I can’t get in until the 19th.
I’d really love to hear from anyone who has dealt with recurrent candida and needed long-term fluconazole while also trying for a baby. ❤️
