Discussion Dragon Egg Relic Boss Fight

Anybody got any good strategies to get through the boss fight in time? My friend and I (we’ve been playing zombies together since WAW) finally attempted it for the first time last night and missed it by about 45 seconds. (Work and life makes it tough for us to both have free time at the same time) It’s the only relic we’re missing besides the Wrestling Belt of course. We both were running the Sokol pap4 ultra rarity, with a ray gun for equivalent exchange, and the WW in Mr Peeks Mayhem. We both used instakill and reign drops for gums. I couldn’t find any good videos on YT for beating the boss within the time limit, just guides on how to actually open the portal. Any advice is welcome.

I reccomend bringing in ion core+temporal gift+ kill joy as it will kill all zombies and give you a whole minute of safety spraying into the boss

Wow that is such a good idea! Almost like your own safe zone. I’ve never used the ion aside from trying it out when it first got added, but I’m def bringing it next time we try

Its an absolute must for me and my friends when we do nyxara or the warden boss fight. Also if you have idle eyes thats another 30 seconds of un-interrupted shooting

The pack 4 cat is also really helpful for this. Just got to make sure you are prioritizing getting those oni flags and those zones up. If you are that close to beating it by 45 seconds, it could just be a perseverance thing. You may just get unlucky with perch timings as well. Just got to keep trying and prioritize damage whenever and wherever you can to melt her. Keep at it man!

Did it solo a few weeks ago. Took me 5-6 attempts. It’s tough, but the strats I used to finally get it was a mix of shots between PAP IV Novaline and Nekomancer. Kazimirs. Frenzied Guard for immunity when dragon makes lava everywhere. And lastly, cap the flags in the middle first, then work your way to the sides. Middle last tends to get you stuck in lava. Bring gums too, reign drops and power keg, max ammo. Round you go in doesn’t matter, fight is scaled for round 60. You can shoot her even when not in the protection zone. I killed her in between zone captures at the end of the fight.

I’ll help yall if you need! But use mammoth or novaline it’s the best and use stock option, free fire, or frenzied guard when in bubble and, save the blessing that auto activates the bubble until the very last phase AFTER the boss is no longer immune

UPDATE: We tried again tonight and beat it with 3 and a half minutes to spare!! What worked for us this time was prioritizing the flags as a lot of ppl mentioned. And another thing that worked well which surprised me was the WW. I used that over the Sokol and it was wayyyyy better for damage on Nyxara. Only one gum was used for the boss fight. One instakill and it was for the last phase. We melted the entire last phase in like 5 seconds with the instakill active plus using the WW on the crits. Huge shout out to all of the advice in here!!!! I recorded the video and will post it if i get enough requests for it
