Mauer and it's not even close. Only honorable mention here is the Legion bossfight, besides that it was all far too easy.

I love the whole bunker sequence to get to legion, that's my favorite, but Mauer is great, too.

I really don't understand what in particular happened with Mauer that it ended up being so much better than every other map in the game. Maybe it was genuinely because of the extended gap between it and DLC1, and Cold War was really an extreme time crunch. I mean, we already know it was but that just gives us an actual quality to resources ratio reference.

Mauer has slowly become one of my top 5 easter eggs ever

Outbreak 1 bunker section & legion fight were fantastic

My choice too. Is this the only zombies boss with a hard time limit the whole fight? Definitely adds to the pressure of the fight.

Forsaken is underrated idc but i definitely think mauer is the best egg in cold war, outbreak's first ee picked up very well once you get to bunker even though that's not really long enough to consider a full main ee imo. Genuinely though, die machine and firebase z's ee's translate great as a peudo directed mode, i don't think they're complex at all and the way they are woven into the story and the steps make sense it would be a much easier solve for a game with no directed mode, which is honestly not a bad thing if it wasn't kinda the norm for cold war.

Any opportunity to glaze Mauer. I'll be there

For some reason I ended up doing the Firebase EE about 50 times total. Idk why. It was very mid and the boss fight was just annoying if you don't insta kill

This was actually a hard choice for me. I have a lot of love for Ravenov implications and Tin man heart. Voted Ravenov implications knowing everyone would vote Mauer.

can I ask why Mauer is so enjoyed? I find it alright but also semi annoying, especially thanks to how many tries I have given it (I find outbreak 1 EE more painful but that’s because it’s rng) ending cutscene though is #2 for me, Forsaken being #1 especially as a person very new to the story of zombies series

I would like to ask those 3 people why they voted for outbreak 2

Mauer’s pretty airtight, but we really should give Die Maschine some deserved credits. It’s a pretty open and closed book of an egg, and it also helps that it’s a simple opener. LF does well in a similar way, and maps to open a game, I think, can and should certainly strive to have sensible steps like that.

Not saying we shouldn’t get more complicated eggs, Ashes and BO7 generally have some really good eggs. Just saying how I feel. It’s refreshing to not have to try my ass off all the time. I’d also argue for somewhat decent replayability factor, too.

Good taste. MDT is a beautiful map with a good boss fight and cool easter egg.

People hated on Outbreak way too much, I love doing the Legion Boss fight, its my favorite boss in CW

There is none I'd call best. They are terrible.

None. Gotta play to survive. This is a survival mode after all.
