General Question DOT new hire
I will be commuting from the Roseville direction to N St CalTrans building. Recommendations do I attempt to park an SUV downtown vs. Take the Light Rail from Watt and I80 or Roseville Rd?

Take the Placer Commuter bus, those other options will suck.

Look into the Roseville commuter. Clean, safe and always on time. I park at Sunsplash off of Taylor Road. I get off bus at 15th & N. There is another station in Roseville to start the line. Good luck!

This is really not something that anyone will be able to determine for you. I have several friends that park an SUV with no issues but it depends on parking lots and what time you get there in the morning, etc.
Other friends rather avoid that entirely and use public trans for at least part of their trip. I would try it for a week both ways and see which one your prefer.

17th street garage is $8 and you need to arrive before 7:30 as it fills up fast

All these posts about how bad parking is in downtown since RTO and you’re asking if you should attempt to park an SUV?

Light rail is full of commuters like you and the train stops at the back door of Caltrans.
