Babushka Boo veddy much appreciate the well wishes from everypuppo! Many much unfairs come to Babushka Boo but after much discussion in the village, Babushka Boo has gotten village witch doctor to agree Boo can sleep near her hooman. Much rejoice! Much justice for Babushka Boo!

(Boo's hooman here: Boo has recurring bad dreams and really can't sleep in her crate. We explained to the surgeon that my air mattress is 4 inches off the floor and we are in a small room. The surgeon cleared Miss Boo to sleep in her little doggo bed next to me.)

Very many much unfairs happen but Booins very happy be home! Booins very much hoping for good harvest and mild winters because of lack of leg furs. Booins wokes up from big snooze and evil thing happen to her leg furs! Whomever took the leg furs of Babushka Boo did leave fancy (halfpant?)? Boo no know what to call it... leg thingy? Booins likes halfpants. Booins also says maybe doctor people can splain why after snooze her leg not work right.

(Boo's hooman here, Boo did great and we're starting the long recovery road. We've got the sunroom set up for me to sleep in with her sisters and she has her crate for safe sleepings. The halfpant is her lick sleeve , no cone of shame for us.) u/KBS70, here's what the lick sleeve looks like!

ATTENTION ALL VILLAGERS.

Is being serious village security announcement!

Comrade Stormy was doing very important night patrol, keeping village frens safe from squirrel, metal bench thieves, and other suspicious persons of tiny criminal nature.

While patrolling, Stormy was thinking fond thoughts of Smol Mousie frens Wlad and Wilma when suddenly FROM BUSH is appearing potential new villager!

However, Stormy immediately noticing something is not correct.

New villager is black. Has very fancy white stripe. Is walking around village suspiciously.

Still, Comrade Stormy is polite gentleman. He approaches for saying hello and offering traditional village hospitality of chilled cabbage water and perhaps small potato.

New villager does NOT accept hospitality.

Instead, suspicious stranger is stomping little feets!

Stormy is confused. Is New Dance move?

Then stranger is turning backside toward Comrade.

Stormy is becoming MORE confused. Is not western Line dance move he is aware of. Is perhaps hip-hop dance move?

Then...

PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS..

COMRADE HAS BEEN ATTACKED.

Vile smelling chemical weapon is deployed directly upon innocent Stormy!

Such behavior is NIET ACCEPTABLE IN BABUSHKA VILLAGE.

Stormy is attempting diplomatic retreat but diplomacy is already smelling terrible. Black-and-white war criminal is escaping back into bush before village authorities can ask important questions.

Comrade Stormy is making great speed toward dacha.

Upon arrival, his two fathers are opening door.

Father One is taking one smell.

Father Two is taking one smell.

Both fathers are immediately regretting opening door.

Emergency B-A-T-H is ordered.

Stormy protests greatly. Says is violation of rights of Comrade and demands lawyer in between bouts of throwing up dinner.

Nobody is listening.

Is washed once.

Still stink.

Is washed second time.

STILL stink.

Third B-A-T-H is ordered.

By third bath, Stormy is no longer fighting. Is simply standing in tub staring into distance like veteran who has seen things no Babushka should see.

Two fathers are also suffering. One is washing Stormy. Other is opening every window in dacha and questioning all decisions leading to this moment.

Comrade Stormy now smelling slightly less like death, but dignity is completely gone.

Tummy is still niet happy. Tail is niet wagging.

Is laying under blanket recovering from chemical attack and THREE B-A-T-H in same day.

One father is providing cuddles.

Other father is saying, "Niet on furniture until we are absolutely certain."

This has caused additional diplomatic crisis.

Village is advised:

If seeing suspicious black-and-white villager with fluffy tail, DO NOT APPROACH.

Do not offer potato.

Do not offer cabbage water.

Do not investigate stomping of little feets.

And MOST IMPORTANT, if striped villager turns around, is time for making great speed in opposite direction.

This is niet fren.

This is weaponized forest cat!

Comrade Stormy will recover.

His tummy will recover.

His tail will eventually wag again.

His relationship with B-A-T-H may never be repaired.

However, she decided it doesn't really work.. 🤔

It is rainy day in my part of village, da. So thinking must make cozy cabbage soup with garlic sausage to pep up!
Is good, but alas, and alak, no potato in cupboard! Any potato to share? Broth is so thin with no potato. To make cabbage soup is easy!

1 cabbage, cored and sliced thin
2 onions, diced
1 enormous carrot, or three normalish carrots,diced
3-4 ribs celery, sliced very thin
1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
2 garlic sausages, about 1/2 lbs. cut into small pieces
4 slices bacon cut small
Salt and pepper to taste
Chicken broth, about 8 cups
1cup white or rose wine, sherry works too! (Vodka does not)
1/2 cup strong coffee (optional)
12 cloves garlic
1 large potato, pealed and diced (but I have no potato)
1 stick of butter

Put sausage and bacon in big pot to brown, stir as needed. In other pot, put garlic, wine, coffee, and half of chicken stock and bring to a boil. Once sausage is browned and bacon is crisp, add in all vegetables except cabbage. Sweat veggies until they get a little soft and maybe browned on edges. When garlic gets soft in boiling broth, mash or blend it up. Add garlic stock to veggies and sausage. Add all cabbage, and rest of chicken stock, and potato if you are lucky with harvest. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir in butter. Bring to a simmer for an hour, maybe longer. All veggies should be soft, and potato will be falling apart to thicken broth. Serve with buttered brown bread, rye is so good to dip in broth! And a spoonful of smeatana on top.

So no potato here, but soup is good for soul! Stay safe from sky water!
