Men, what’s one small, seemingly insignificant thing you’ve noticed that can be a telltale sign of the difference between a genuinely good man and a bad one?

Can they say “I made a mistake”? If everything is always someone else’s fault, it’s only a matter of time before something they’ve done is your fault too

Oh, I can apologize alright. The hardest part for me is being able to accept that my apologies don't usually lead to forgiveness or second chances. I'll quickly be upfront about making a mistake and owning up to it... but trying to negotiate around someone else's boundaries is one weakness I'm trying to work thru. Like, I made a couple big mistakes a few months ago, which really hurt someone I cared deeply about. It's been very difficult accepting that it's not up to me whether things can be repaired or not, but rather her. So... the only thing I can do is keep giving that person space and hope that time can heal the wound. She knows I'm remorseful, regret my actions, and would welcome another chance, but it doesn't mean she's obligated to provide one.
