Other How do I delete files from Android folder?

So I finally got the official bedrock Minecraft after playing pirated versions for years and it won't install. The most likely issue is the files clashing with the old files. I've deleted all my past versions of the game but there are still remnants in my Android Data files which I can't delete because it's hard-locked and can't be modified.

I've tried connecting the phone to my computer and deleting it but it still doesn't work. I tried the Shizuku and ZArchiver thing too and while I was able to see the files, I couldn't delete them.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A34 running android version 16. I have no antiviruses installed and I have over 15gb of storage left on my phone.

Can anyone give me advice on this problem?

Download Files by Marc. It's a shortcut to the system file picker and it lets you access the android/data folder if you need to.

This is a really common issue even with players who didn't pirate the game and were not playing for multiple versions

It is a bit complicated but not impossible you don't need root for accessing android data folder you can pretty much access it with advanced file explorer personally I prefer"FV file explorer " over" ZArchiver"with shizuku but the problem is minecraft folder in android/data/com.mojang.minecraftpe itself has another data folder so data/data this double data paths can be accessed by the app it self only even with root you would need very complex root shell commands to delete it and it may not work, so you need to stop trying to delete it and find a way to make the app in this case minecraft delete its own folder and data

Now to the real solution instead of trying to delete the folder by complex methods try to find a pirated apk of the version you were playing last install it and uninstall it but make sure to uncheck keep app data some devices are the opposite you need to check "delete app data " and minecraft will delete its own folder after uninstalling it.

Please note even though you can't delete the Minecraft folder because it has the double data/data path you could still copy the minecraft worlds make sure to back your worlds app before deletion
