Near miss (almost) on veterans and main st yesterday

Could’ve been much worse had the Pontiac not swerved like that!!

I think OP used near miss correctly. As it should be used. What you’re thinking of is a near hit.

ACTUALLY. A near miss is an unplanned event that has the potential to cause injury, damage, or loss, but does not actually result in harm due to a lucky shift in time or position.
