⠀ I listened to Tradies so you dont have Part 2: Folie a Deux
Opens on a discussion of Buckley pulling out of the North Melbourne coaching job, leaving only four people in the running: Xavier Clarke, Daniel Giansiracusa, David Hale and Jaymie Graham, Matthew Lloyd believes that it is Graham's to lose.
North has offered 5 years to Nick Murray from Adelaide, but it is believed that Adelaide has the leveage due to Jordan Butts leaving for the Bulldogs. North has kicked tires on Weitering, Sam McClure suggests that the 5th pick and next year's 1st may turn heads at Carlton.
Far-Fetched world that Chris Scott is coaching at Brisbane next year, Cam Bruce and Danny Daly seen as the favourites.
Side note: McClure also mentioned that allegedly Buckley also had the Melbourne job last year before it went to Steven King.
Looks like Dan Houston will still be at Collingwood next year, with St Kilda still having a sniff around for him. Whilst, Jordan De Goey is more of a chance to get traded due to Collingwood being reluctant to give him an extension at the rate that he wants. May be a target for Tasmania next year is still without a contract extension halfway through next year.
Discussion of Zane Duursma being picked over Nick Watson, due to Durrsma's trade request and Watson winning the B&F.
Calsher Dear, choosing Hawthorn over Melbourne, came down to head over heart, he's re-signing may push out Mabior Chol.
Ollie Lord in consideration for Melbourne after losing out on Dear.
Rumours that Fagan will have a role at Carlton and that it will be remarkably similar role to what John Longmire has at Essendon.
Looks like Lachie Whitfield at Carlton will be done, GWS wants a future 1st for him, however pick 23 this year is also on the table. Adam Saad has also been told he will not be on the list next year.
Saints want a future 1st and young player for Marshall, with it being less likely that he remains at Morrabbin next year. However Mitch Cleary believes that it will involve Geelong being forced to come to the table this year, a future 1st itself may get the deal done.
The offer for Zach Merrett at the moment is pick 15, 25 and a future third, with 15 being pushed back due to the usual draft shenanigans. May change if pick 15 becomes pick 12.
Jack Bowes and a future 1st for Jordan Ridley may happen.
Matthew Lloyd sees Jack Viney is seen as being more of a culture changer for either Essendon or West Coast, rather than an impact player. Whilst McClure compares it to the Jack Steele trade from last year.
Gryan Miers has had a medical at West Coast, of a deal is not reached West Coast may pivot towards Trent Rivers from Melbourne.
Viewers questions sections:
They discuss the possibility of Hawthorn going after De Goey if the Merrett deal falls through, isn't seen as a good fit due to Newcombe and Day's play style.
Lloyd raves about Nate Caddy, sees him as a future captain of the club.
Highly unlikely for Rowell to get traded to Collingwood this offseason, Cleary cites the marketability of a Brownlow medallist up in the Gold Coast.
McClure believes that Port will take the compo pick for Butters, which they may include in a bigger trade, that includes Todd Marshall and Miles Bergman. Possibly a 4 or 5 team trade, that would allow for them to get Dougie Cochrane and another top 5 pick.
Keidan Coleman value is currently seen as being a pick in the late 20s.
Small discussion on Blakey to Geelong, doesn't seem likely, but would involve a 1st rd pick, but it may involving including Lawson Humphries in any Marshall trade, current value for him is seen as pick 15-20.
Lloyd sees Will Day as being a top 5 player in comp
All 3 of them say they would take Nick Watson over Harry Sheezel on their list for the next 10 years, (I'd disagree, but im biased).
And that every thing for this episode, I'll probably have the next post done Wednesday morning or night.
Andrew Mackie, Geelong GM of Football: "We'd be open to discussing a Gryan Miers move if he wanted."

⠀ AFL Trade and Free Agency Tracker 2026
Reposted now with the correct title because that mistake in the original would have annoyed the hell out of me for the next week and a half.
MODS - If you want to pin this I'll be updating it at least once a day.
I haven't had time to do this over the last few years, certainly not to the same extent that I used to do them, and I won't be updating this live like I used to, my job kind of gets in the way. But I'll update this at the end of each day.
If a trade lands, just pop a screenshot of the tweet in here and tag me and I'll add it later.
First, a couple of helpful links from the AFL website.
FREE AGENTS
The next two links are both explainers for Free Agency. What is a free agent, what type of free agents there are (UFA, RFA, DFA), compensation bands, contract matching, etc.
