So, reading into it she wrote that she was planning to shoot up her local sheriff's office. The internal safety system flagged it for human review, and the human reviewer then pushed it to local law enforcement.
From Anthropic's own regulations they only push data to authorities in emergencies just like this.
Which I get. If they didn't report it and she went and shot up the sheriff's office, and then it came out later that they knew about it prior, then they'd be under fire as well.
So, in extreme situations like that I get it. As long as they're being truthful that they only report the most extreme stuff, then your data is likely still fine as long as you're not making legitimate terroristic threats.
Obviously try not to give these commercial AIs too much personal info either way.
